Mrs. Nelepovitz was born January 22, 1927 in Clifton Forge, VA. She was the youngest of six and graduated from high school in Norfolk, VA. She went on to nursing school where she earned her RN degree. Mrs. Nelepovitz joined the Army and served during the Korean War when she met her future husband, Richard Nelepovitz, an Army officer on his way to Korea. They moved to California in 1954 where they raised their four children. The Nelepovitz family moved to San Diego in 1973. Mrs. Nelepovitz was preceded in death by her husband Richard and her grandson Ryan McNaughton. She is survived by her four children, Richard, Donald, Mary McNaughton and James. She has eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. All will miss her very much. on August 13, 2014.5

He was twice married, first to the late Frances Coleman Taylor and then to his present wife of 28 years, Helen St. Clair Taylor. Born Aug. 30, 1922, in Gladstone, he was a son of the late William Berkeley and Nettie Williams Taylor Sr. He was an engineer for the C and O Railroad for 43 years, an Army-Air Force veteran of World War II, a member of the Clinton Lodge #73 AF and AM of Amherst and a member the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son, William Berkley Taylor III and wife, Elizabeth, of Madison Heights; three daughters, Sheila Austin and husband, Steve, of Madison Heights, Jackie Stanley and husband, Kenneth, of Culpeper, and Barbara Ragland and husband, Doug, of Forest; a stepson, John M. Cash of Williamsburg; two stepdaughters, Rebecca C. Dean and Barbara Clodfelter, both of Lynchburg; a sister, Nettie Harris of Gladstone; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his faithful dog, "Snoopy." He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two brothers and five sisters. Burial will follow in the Amherst Cemetery with Masonic rites by the Clinton Lodge #73 AF and AM of Amherst. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses of Hospice of the Hills for their attentive care of Mr. Taylor during his illness. on May 22, 2009.2
