Ford; sisters-in-law, Kathy Arthur, Linda Dooley and husband David, and Mary Watkins and husband Rev. Ed Watkins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday from Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. Ed Woodard officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. Friends may call after 12 noon Sunday at Oakey's South Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Floyd County Rescue Squad. Virginia graduated from Jefferson High School in Roanoke and attended Mary Washington College and graduated from Radford College, after raising her family. She taught school in Roanoke County. She was an active member of the Ball Sunday School Class and the WMU at Salem Baptist Church until her illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, along with a brother, Robert E. Vaughan. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, William S. Board; her son, Joe Gregory and his wife, Vona; daughter, Betty Smith and her husband, Jerry; stepdaughter, Sue Baldwin and her husband, Rob; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one greatgreat-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011 at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Everett Kier officiating. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. on May 22, 2011.1
