The body is at Sam Foglesong, Nease and Neely Funeral Home in Mullens. on November 22, 1975.4

During that time he was stationed in Washington D.C., Idaho and the Philippines. Bob retired from General Electric in 1988 after 33 years of service. He was a loyal custodian for more than 48 years at Northview United Methodist Church. Bob was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and was an usher for more than 30 years. He also served as secretary of Williamson Road Masonic Lodge for many years. Bob was always a hard worker. Bob loved his garden, his beautiful roses and traveling all of his life. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Claude and Inez Epperly. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years as of April 8, Jeanette Ingwersen; his daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly Lynn Ingwersen of Roanoke, and Jean Marie Ingwersen Marx and Leonard Marx of Daytona Beach, Fla., and his dog Buddy. Also surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Duane Palmer; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Sue Ingwersen; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Tommy Hurt; 8 nephews, Duane Palmer, Jr., Brian Palmer, Rev. Tom Hurt, Brian, Michael, Jamie, Josh and Justin Hurt. He will be missed tremendously by his loving family.      Linda Claudette Epperly was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1300 Mountain View Road, Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.2 She was born on January 29, 1943 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.3,4 As of December 30, 1961,her married name was Prillaman.6 She married Thomas Wayne Prillaman on December 30, 1961 at Alleghany Co., North Carolina.6,7 As of March 14, 1970,her married name was Hurt.3 Linda Claudette Epperly married Tommy Dewey Hurt Jr. on March 14, 1970 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.1,2,3 Linda Claudette Epperly died on October 29, 2018 at Virginia at age 75.2 She Linda Epperly Hurt, 75, of Vinton, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 29, 2018. She was actively involved in Blue Ridge Baptist Church for 45 years. Linda taught Sunday School and Cubbie Bears, sang in the choir and also achieved numerous awards for teaching in the AWANA children's ministry. She was a homemaker and operated a child care ministry out of her home for 20 years. Linda developed numerous close relationships including Lou Clifton, Joan Stanley, Mary Webb, Jan Dearing and Maxine Meade. Her favorite hobbies which she enjoyed were gardening, cooking, crafts, decorating and reading. She will be most remembered by her family for her authentic spirituality and close walk with Jesus Christ. Linda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Tommy D. Hurt; and her sons, Tommy W. Hurt and wife, Tammy, Brian W. Hurt and wife, Rebecca, Michael D. Hurt and wife, Jennifer, Jamie L. Hurt and wife, Amy, Joshua S. Hurt and wife, Erin, Justin S. Hurt and wife, Chantry, Gary L. Hurt and wife, Betty, and Brian Ellis. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanette E. Ingwersen; a niece, Jean Marx and her husband, Leonard; and three brothers-in-law, LeRoy Hurt and wife, Carol, Clayton Hurt and wife Emily, and Norman Hurt and wife, Cathy; her grandchildren, Derek H. Hurt and wife, Ashlee, Dylon T. Hurt, Samantha S. Hurt, Brandon T. Hurt, Brianna N. Hurt, Lauren A. Hurt, Maddie G. Hurt, Ryan M. Hurt, Lillianne E. Hurt, Abigail D. Hurt, Hudson T. Hurt, Ansleigh V. Hurt, Nolan S. Hurt, Georgia G. Hurt, Amelia M. Hurt, Jennifer R. Hurt, Alisha Bowman, and Chris Hurt; and one great-grandson, Grayson O. Hurt. The family wishes to express thanks to special caregiver, Nancy Brown, for her three years of service and to the other caregivers that include Missy Martin and Regina Pickard as well as a caregiver, Danita Setzer, who preceded her in death. Linda was also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Danny Hurt and Robert L. Ingwersen; and a niece, Kimberly L. Ingwersen. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. on October 31, 2018.2
