Evans Jr. of Ruffin; three daughters, Joan Smith, Vanessa Lee and Judy Evans, all of Ruffin; one brother, Aubrey Simpson of Ruffin; three sisters, Tiny Reagan and Loretta Cox, both of Reidsville and Shirley Smith of Pelham; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William T. Evans Sr., one daughter, Texie Alcorn, five brothers, Haywood Simpson, Maurice Simpson, Otis Simpson, Clyde Simpson and Raymond Simpson and one sister, Geraldine Reagan. The funeral will be held 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church. A private graveside service will be held Monday at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church and at other times will be at the residence. Citty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. on July 13, 2003.4

Born March 31, 1910 in Ringgold, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Ellis Yeatts and Sallie Walton Yeatts. She was married to Edgar Fisher McGee who died November 21, 1958. Mrs. McGee lived most of her life in Pelham, NC. She retired in 1972 from Dan River Mills. She was the oldest member of Pelham United Methodist Church and a former member of Rebecca Lodge. She is survived by three daughters, Mary M. Herndon of Pine Mountain, GA, Alma M. Cross of Reidsville, NC and Betty M. Paige and husband Dewey of Danville and a son, John H. McGee, Sr. and wife Nancy of Danville. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by six brothers, Herman, Raymond, Larry, Frank, Lonnie and Hugh Yeatts. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 15, 2010, at 11AM at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Durham officiating. Yates, 95, died Feb. 3, 2007. He retired from PRHA and was a member of the Tabernacle Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene C. Yates. Survivors include a brother, Raymond Yates and a sister, Gladys McGee, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three stepchildren, Patricia, Johnnie and Sharon. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Old Cemetery in Emporia, Va. on February 10, 2007.6

She leaves five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren. Her husband, Cline Wimmer; four stepchildren; and seven step grandchildren also survive her. Audrey was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters and is survived by Stella and Bob Couch, of Grottoes, Va., Jenny Boitnott, of Boones Mill, Maurice and Jane Holt, of Callaway, Nancy Setliff, of Roanoke, and Sammy and Joice Holt, of Bent Mountain. Graveside service at the family cemetery in Algoma, Rt 602, Callaway. on September 9, 2008.6
