He was a lifelong member of Glenvar Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Lois Poff Walker, and two brothers, Ralph and Bobby Walker. He was a gentle man rooted in his faith and in his love for his family. He is survived by three sons, Larry (Nona) Walker, Mark (Sandy) Walker and Dean Walker; a daughter, Brenda (Larry) Simmons; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; a sister, Merle Mabry, and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial with military honors will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. on August 8, 2021.³
