Lewis of Charleston went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ Thursday, June 12, 2008, at his residence. Gary was born Aug. 2, 1941, in Kanawha County to the late Thomas B. and Freda A. Lewis. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, twin of Gary Lewis II. He leaves behind the love of his life, Joyce; beloved daughter, Robin A. Lewis of Charleston and son, Gary W. Lewis II of Charleston; precious grandchildren, Jessica Lynette Lewis and Gary W. Lewis III, both of Charleston; sisters, Ann Affolter of Hampton, Va., Carol Sealey and husband, Mike, of Hampton, Va., and Linda Mace and husband, Richard, of Kenbridge, Va. Service will be held June 14, at 2 p.m. at Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Norvell officiating. Burial will be in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. on June 14, 2008.2

Last rites will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the residence. Burial is to be in the Sattes cemetery. Besides the parents six sisters survive: Pauline June, Barbara Ellen, Delores, at home, Clara Fay of Ferry Branch and Mrs. Helen Graley of Davis Creek. on January 24, 1937.2
