     Teresa Marie Shelley A memorial service for Teresa Huffman, 59, of Manteca, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21st at Franklin and Downs in Modesto. Mrs. Huffman died May 16, 2002, after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Huffman is survived by her mother, Theresa Shelley of Citrus Heights; daughers, Carrie Barbosa and DeDe Sathers of Modesto; sons, Brian Bettencourt of Aromas and Andy Bettencourt of Rohnert Park; sister, Mary Reynolds of Vacaville; brothers, Bernard Shelley of Guerneville and James Shelley of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and seven grandchildren.Mrs. Huffman was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Felicitas #1939.⁶ She was born on January 3, 1943.³ As of June 30, 1962,her married name was Bettencourt.⁴ She married Phillip A. Bettencourt on June 30, 1962 at San Benito Co., California.⁴ As of February 18, 1984,her married name was Kirk.⁵ Teresa Marie Shelley married Donald H. Kirk on February 18, 1984 at Reno, Washoe Co., Nevada.⁵ As of October 1, 1993,her married name was Huffman.⁵ Teresa Marie Shelley married Robert L. Huffman on October 1, 1993 at Reno, Washoe Co., Nevada.⁵ Teresa Marie Shelley died on May 16, 2002 at Modesto, Stanislaus Co., California, at age 59.^6,3

     John Andrew Eggleston was born on July 18, 1929 at Martinsville, Virginia.^3,2 He married Ellen Rachel Yates, daughter of Ernest Stewart Yates and Dovie May/Mae Massey, on November 21, 1953 at Hopewell, Virginia.² John Andrew Eggleston died on July 1, 2012 at Richmond, Virginia, at age 82.^3,1 He John Andrew Eggleston, 82, of Hopewell, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012, in Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center. John was retired owner of A.C. Eggleston and Son Construction Co., a U.S. Army Korean veteran with the 45th infantry and a recipient of the Purple Heart, an honorary member of the Crossroads Hunting Club and attended Prince George Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Y. Eggleston; three children, Keith W. Eggleston (Frances), Kay E. Eure (Jim) and Kenny D. Eggleston (Stephanie); five grandchildren, Andrew Eure (Donna), Kevin Eggleston, Michael Eure, Kelly and Sara Eggleston; two great-grandchildren, Shailyn Nester and Bristol Eure; a sister, Frances E. Jamison; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012, in the Prince George Christian Church with the Rev. Wayne Marburger officiating. She was the wife of A. Ray Simmons, owner of a Baltimore electronics business. Mrs. Simmons, who was 59, died at her home Tuesday after a long illness. She lived at 6 West Melrose avenue. A native of Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. Simmons had lived in Baltimore her childhood. She was educated at the old Girl's Latin School and at Goucher College. Long interested in art, Mrs. Simmons had exhibited, paintings in a number amateur art shows. She was a member of the Baltimore Museum of Art and had studied painting at the Maryland Institute. Her other main hobbies were bridge and golf. Mrs. Simmons was long a member of the Second Presbyterian Church, and had been active in the church's women's organizations. She was also a member of the Women's Club of Roland Park and the Baltimore Country Club. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Simmons is survived by two sons, Nicolas R. Simmons and Cary L. Simmons, both of Baltimore; four sisters, Mrs. John Sandridge and Mrs. Sue Gates, both of San Antonio; Mrs. Arnold J. Kleff, of Baltimore, and Mrs. Robert Grigsby, of Silver Spring, Md., and a brother, James C. Thompson, of Hagerstown. on August 22, 1968.³

Surviving are her husband, Cary Lane Simmons, and two nieces and two nephews. on May 2, 1988.⁴ She died on May 30, 1988 at Baltimore, Maryland, at age 84.^2,4
