For many years, Anne had been the beloved driver of schoolbus #32 for the Nelson County Public Schools and served in the school cafeteria. She was also a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, John Douglas Painter Sr; sons, Thomas Henry Adams (Lisa), John Douglas Painter Jr., Curtis Stephen Painter (Tara), Ronald Ray Painter (Misty), Timothy Lynn Painter (Pam) and Joseph Lee Painter (Linda); a daughter, Susan Painter Wright (Joe); brothers, Charlie Lee Adams (Marion) and Elwood Adams (Jean); a sister-in-law, Doris Bryant Reynolds; an aunt, Jessie Adams; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Pollard "Buddy" Adams, Jr. and a granddaughter, Alexis Morgan Dillard. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her loving caregivers, who attended to her at Lovingston Health Care Center.      Harriett Martha Stevens was buried at Stevens-Showalter Family Cemetery, Lovingston, Nelson Co., Virginia.^4,1 She was born on December 21, 1927 at Nelson Co., Virginia.^2,3 As of April 5, 1947,her married name was Showalter.² She married Percy Nelson Showalter Jr., son of Percy Nelson Showalter and Nannie Pearl Gowen, on April 5, 1947 at Nelson Co., Virginia.^1,2 Harriett Martha Stevens died on January 18, 1987 at Waynesboro, Augusta Co., Virginia, at age 59.¹

Main Street, Fountain Inn, Greenville Co., South Carolina.^3,4 She was born on March 9, 1943 at Roseland, Nelson Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,4 As of November 14, 1959,her married name was Showalter.¹ She married James Milton Showalter, son of Percy Nelson Showalter and Nannie Pearl Gowen, on November 14, 1959 at Nelson Co., Virginia.¹ Margie Ann Pippin and James Milton Showalter were divorced on September 24, 1965 at Charlottesville, Virginia.⁵ Margie Ann Pippin died on May 1, 2013 at Greenville, Greenville Co., South Carolina, at age 70.^3,4 She Margie Ann Pippin Moore, 70, wife of Jim Moore for 49 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Mrs. Moore was born March 9, 1943 in Roseland, VA, to the late James E. Pippin and Helen Nina Taylor Pippin. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and loved ?owers. She was passionate about her family and her role as a wife and mother and nanny. Margie collected cookie jars and doll babies, and was a member of Peoples Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Kenny “Smokey” Rice; two daughters and their husbands, Elizabeth “Pokey” and George Walker, and Bonnie and Douglas McKinney; three brothers and their wives, Carl and Judy Pippin, Jessie and Phyllis Pippin, and Rogers and Patricia Pippin; a sister, Brenda Ramsey and husband Danny; three grandchildren, Brandon Moody and wife Samantha, Aimee Moody, and Amber Lynn McKinney; and a great-granddaughter, Makailyn Wills. Burial will be in Cannon Memorial Park. on May 3, 2013.³

     Betty Shannon Funeral services for Betty Shannon Showalter, 51, will be held in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Interment will follow at Lee’s Cemetery, Lugoff, SC. Mrs. Showalter died Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of Regina Starnes Shannon Morin and the late Otis Ernest Shannon. She was a member of Lake Wateree Baptist Church; she loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved the outdoors. Survivors are: her mother, Regina Morin; husband, Larry Showalter; son, Joseph Morin all of Gaston; sisters, Elizabeth Bunnell of Elgin, Linda Page (Steve) of Elgin and Sharron Harris of Gaston; brother, Wayne Morin of Columbia; three grandchildren, Dakota Morin, Christopher Morin and Diana Gleaton; also numerous nieces and nephews.² She was buried at Lee’s Cemetery, Lugoff, Kershaw Co., South Carolina.² Her Social Security Number was 249-17-7253.³ She was born on September 13, 1958 at Columbia, Richland Co., South Carolina.^1,2,3 As of February 11, 1981,her married name was Showalter.¹ She married James Larry Showalter, son of James Milton Showalter and Audrey Mable Napier, on February 11, 1981 at Prince George Co., Virginia.^1,2 Betty Shannon died on March 9, 2010 at South Carolina at age 51; The SSDI has a date date oif Mar 5, 2010.^2,3
