     Thomas Lewis Higgins Tom Higgins, AKA Paboo, left this world on December 11, 2016, to start a new adventure. He passed on peacefully, surrounded by his wife and daughters and his loyal dogs Bailee and Bear, who never left his side throughout his illness. Tom is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debbie Higgins. Together, they raised a beautiful family that made him proud. His beloved daughters, Dawn Higgins Andrews and Ashleigh Higgins Bagwell, were the loves of his life. He was proud of their accomplishments and he was thankful they both lived close so he saw them often. Nothing made him happier than one of his babies popping in the front door to visit! His grandchildren were his true heart. He was fortunate to be able attend the National Dance Awards in Orlando in August 2016 and watch his beloved oldest granddaughter, Morgan Higgins, win a national title. It was one of the highlights of his life. He loved his grandson, Nolan Bagwell, and knew he was amazing young man full of promise. One of his favorite days was to take Nolan on the boat as his first mate, and teach him to fish. Tom was blessed to help homeschool Lexi Andrews and Savannah Andrews and share his love for science with them. He never missed a soccer game, grandparent's day at school or a school play. He never wanted to miss any special moments in their lives. He was honored to be the one to take Stella Andrews and Elliott Andrews to preschool. He enjoyed the special Paboo time he had with them. Often, when picking them up from preschool he would come home and prepare Elliott's favorite, Paboo hamburgers for lunch. There was nothing he enjoyed more than preparing one of the kid's favorite meals. The legacy of love Paboo left his children and grandchildren will continue to be passed on for generations to come. He will be missed more than words can express. Tom was the son of the late Sidney Cecil Higgins and Anita Logwood Higgins. He is survived by his sister, Marie Doyle. He also leaves behind a loving family of cousins and nieces and nephews and a son-in-law, Robert Andrews. Tom loved to fish, camp and hunt and cruise in the bay on his boat. One of his favorite pastimes was to sit on the back porch observing nature. He loved watching deer meander into the backyard or to watch racoons wander into the marsh. He was always looking for bald eagles and could identify the local birds in the backyard by listening to them sing. He was also a loyal Redskins fan, sticking with them through the good and the bad years. Tom served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam era. He was proud to serve his country.⁵ He was born on March 2, 1949 at Norfolk, Virginia.^2,3 He married Deborah Lynn Roughton on March 27, 1971 at Norfolk, Virginia.³ Thomas Lewis Higgins died on December 11, 2016 at Chesapeake, Virginia, at age 67.⁵

     George Grant Winter was buried at Evergreen Burial Park, 1307 Summit Ave SW, Roanoke, Virginia.² He was born on June 4, 1938 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,3 He married Ethel Davis Wood, daughter of Carlton Board "Buddy" Wood and Sarah Levicie McNeil, on November 16, 1956 at Roanoke, Virginia.¹ George Grant Winter and Ethel Davis Wood were divorced on November 25, 1959 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ George Grant Winter died on March 6, 2021 at Virginia at age 82.² He George G. Winter, 82, of Roanoke County, Virginia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 6, 2021. He was the son of the late Herman and Nan Winter. George was a faithful member of Melrose Baptist Church for over 50 years and a member of the Beacon Sunday School Class that he truly loved. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School and National Business College. George was the owner/operator of Town Auto Sales for over 40 years and a member of the VIADA. He was a classic car enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra E. Winter; daughters, Dawn Winter-Ware and Doretta Winter; granddaughter, Scarlett Ware; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doretta and Bruce Switzer; special nephew, Clinton Switzer Jr; cousins, Lottie Crowder (Clyde), Bernard Lemon (Ruby), Reginald Lemon (Margie), Nona King (Pete), Jimmy Spangler, and Jimmy Norwood; and numerous cousins in Maryland. A Graveside Service will be conducted at Evergreen Burial Park. on March 9, 2021.²

     Her Social Security Number was 226-50-2121.⁵ Nancy Rosina Boens was born on June 28, 1940 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^5,2,4 As of July 2, 1966,her married name was Lloyd.¹ She married Donald Thomas Lloyd on July 2, 1966 at Narrows, Giles Co., Virginia.^1,4 Nancy Rosina Boens died on March 27, 2011 at Narrows, Giles Co., Virginia, at age 70.^5,4 She Two years to the date of her husbands passing, Nancy Boens Lloyd, 70, of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Montgomery County on June 28, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Aubry Edward and Bertha Sowder Boens. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Donald Thomas (Tom) Lloyd. A graduate of Narrows High School and Radford University, Nancy earned a Masters Degree in education from Virginia Tech. She served as an elementary school teacher for 26 years in the Giles County Public School system and was also a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Narrows, serving as church treasurer for 27 years, an Adult Sunday School class teacher, and a Womens Missionary Union member for many years. She also served as President of the Giles Education Associations Credit Union and a former member of the Narrows Junior Womans Club. Nancy loved camping and was an avid bridge player who had accumulated over 100 master points. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, George E. Lloyd and wife, Lisa, of Roanoke, and Dale A. Lloyd and wife, Lisa, of Narrows; two grandchildren, Allison Lloyd and Jonathan Lloyd; a brother, Bernard Boens and wife, Lee, of Shawsville; two sisters, Linda Clevinger and husband, Norman, of Decatur, Ala., and Eleanor Boens and husband, Greg Rose, of Richmond; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends and caregivers. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Narrows, with the Rev. Jerry Sawyers officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. on March 28, 2011.⁴

     Edward Bernard "Bernie" Boens was buried at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW. 102nd Ave., Bushnell, Sumter Co., Florida.² He was born on March 12, 1944 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 He married Harriett Lee Faulkerson on May 5, 1984 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,2 Edward Bernard "Bernie" Boens died on October 15, 2020 at Crystal River, Citrus Co., Florida, at age 76.² He Edward Bernard "Bernie" Boens, 76, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020, in Crystal River, Fla. He was born on March 12, 1944 in Montgomery Co., Va. and was the son of the late Aubrey Edward and Bertha Sowder Boens. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Lloyd. Edward graduated from Narrows High School in 1963. He entered the United State Air Force in 1965 and served in Mississippi, Texas and the Philippine Islands. He was employed by the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for 33 ½ years and retired as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge in 2003 after which he survived 15+ years of Chronic Myelog Leukemia. Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending the small family farm in Shawsville, Va. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Harriett Lee Faulkerson Boens of Crystal River, Fla; two stepsons, Tracy Lovern and Lawrence Wilmer III; a granddaughter, Jessica Cruz and a grandson, Cody S. Lovern; two sisters, Linda Clevenger and husband, Norman of Decatur, Ala. and Eleanor Rose and husband, Greg Rose of Blacksburg, Va. as well as three nephews. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home & Crematory in Lecanto, Fla. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. with full military honors. on October 18, 2020.²

     Peggy Lou Neal was buried at French Cemetery, Tazewell Co., Virginia.² She was born on September 10, 1929 at Highcoal, Boone Co., West Virginia.^1,2,3 As of January 15, 1946,her married name was Lambert.¹ She married Donald Otis Lambert, son of Bowen Dale Lambert and Lena L. Doyle, on January 15, 1946 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.¹ Peggy Lou Neal and Donald Otis Lambert were divorced on March 14, 1969 at Bland Co., Virginia.³ Peggy Lou Neal died on May 7, 2012 at Wytheville, Wythe Co., Virginia, at age 82.²

     Curtis Wayne Lambert was born on April 22, 1950 at Mercer Co., West Virginia.³ He married Sandra Lynn Meadows on June 14, 1970 at Rocky Gap, Bland Co., Virginia.³ Curtis Wayne Lambert and Sandra Lynn Meadows were divorced on February 17, 1976 at Pulaski Co., Virginia.⁴ Curtis Wayne Lambert married Cynthia Ann Jackson on January 29, 1977 at Bland Co., Virginia.³ Curtis Wayne Lambert died on July 17, 1988 at Bland Co., Virginia, at age 38.²
