She was a member of Grace First Presbyterian Church in Long Beach, California. She is survived by: her husband, Joseph Bernard Norvas of the home; one brother and sister-in-law, A. A graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Norvas was born July 14, 1923 in Leoti County, Kansas to Michael B. and Sarah Ann Hirst Norvas. He was retired from Mobil Oil. He is survived by: one sister, Josephine Alyce Norvas Wentz of Lakewood, CA; one brother-in-law, A. G. Foster of Wilkesboro and one niece, Tina Houy of Lakewood, California.² He married Evelyn Hope Foster, daughter of Arthur Garfield Foster and Roxie Mary Jane Fairchild.^1,3 Joseph Bernard Norvas was born on January 14, 1923 at Leoti Co., Kansas.^1,2 He died on March 23, 2007 at Long Beach, Los Angeles Co., California, at age 84.^1,2

     Arthur Garfield Foster Jr. was buried at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, 239 Champion Mount Pleasant Road, Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., North Carolina.¹ He married Wilma Elledge.¹ Arthur Garfield Foster Jr. was born on March 29, 1923 at Wilkes Co., North Carolina.¹ He died on October 30, 2012 at North Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., North Carolina, at age 89.¹ He Mr. A. G. Foster, Jr., age 89, of Wilkesboro died Tuesday, October, 30, 2012 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. A graveside service with military honors by Post #1142 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Brown officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 until 1:00 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Mr. Foster was born March 29, 1923 in Wilkes County to A. G., Sr. and Roxie Mary Fairchild Foster. He was a salesman for Quality Building Supply and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Mr. Foster served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Foster was the youngest of fourteen children. All his siblings have preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Elledge Foster of the home and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery or Building Fund, 239 Mt. Pleasant Champion Road, Wilkesboro, NC 28697. on November 1, 2012.¹
