     Eva Mae Doane Eva Mae (Doane Kissick) Bachman - Eva Mae Bachman, age 93, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Northeast Regional Medical Center, Kirksville, Missouri. Eva was born the daughter of Leslie and Sadie Doane on March 8, 1921, in Hale, Missouri. Eva was a graduate of Bedford High School, and the Chillicothe Business College. She was united in marriage to Warner Bachman on March 14, 1987. He survives of the home. She worked in several administrative positions and retired after twenty-six years at the Missouri Training School for Girls at Chillicothe. She was a longtime active member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Eva, wife, mother, and friend was deeply loving and deeply loved. Survivors include husband, Warner of the home; two sons, Ronald Kissick of Johnson City, New York, and Paul Kissick of Kirksville, Missouri; one daughter, Klarice Bachman of Afton, Minnesota; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Everts of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and Gladys Doane of Kirksville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Lloyd Kissick; and infant brother, Johnny Lawrence. In 1953, Ron moved with his wife and first daughter to Quincy to begin driving truck for commercial carriers, Acorn Building Components, and Graff Trucking, where he retired in 1981 at the age of 57.On July 31, 1977, Ron married Velma B. Ebert from Battle Creek and she survives. Ron thoroughly enjoyed vacationing in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for hunting, fishing, and the tranquility. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Indianapolis Colts, and also a passionate follower of the daily politics and news. Ron and his first wife, Mildred, built a home in 1958, where he lived for 54 years and made many friends in the neighborhood.In addition to his wife, his survived by his two daughters, Rhonda Miner of Quincy and Darlene (Lee) Brown of Macomb; three grandchildren, Jessi Hinderliter of Coldwater, Chantal (Walworth) Hayes of Wichita, Kan., Trevor Brown of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sidney (Fern) Miner of Chillicothe, Mo., and Edwin (Laura) Miner of Deland, Fla; stepchildren, Connie Boose and Alan Ebert and their children, Ashley Trick, Jon and Amber Zimmerman, and Matthew and Karolina Ebert. He is probably best remembered as the owner of Ed's Plaza Barber Shop here in DeLand. He was also active at his church, Stetson Baptist Church, where he was an usher, a Deacon, a member of the Stetson Baptist Church Council and stayed active in the Bible Study Fellowship. Ed was also a lifetime member of the Air Force Association. Ed was preceded by his son Alan and his first wife Edna. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Laura Miner, son Kevin (Christine) Miner, brother, Sidney Miner and his beloved grandchildren Cameron and Kyle. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, April 30 at Stetson Baptist Church. The service will begin at 10:30 am. He will be laid to rest at DeLand Memorial Gardens following the service. on April 27, 2016.5

May died on April 2, 1975 at Quincy, Branch Co., Michigan, at age 48.1,4,3 She QUINCY - Mrs. Ronald (Mildred F.) Miner, 48, of 6104 Marble Lake, Quincy, died Wednesday as a result of an automobile accident when her vehicle spun around on the corner of Spring Arbor Road and M-60 and struck a truck. Her daughter Darlene, 16, who was a passenger in the car, is reportedly in critical condition in Mercy Hospital in Jackson. Another passenger was said to have been in the Miner vehicle, but further information was not immediately available from the Jackson Sheriff's Department which investigated the accident. Mrs. Miner was born in Hale, Mo. Feb. 18, 19Z7, the daughter of Forrister and Fay Gols May. She lived in Missouri until 1953 when she moved to the Quincy area. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Quincy. She married Rooald Miner April 4, 1947. He survives, as do her parents, Forrister May of Missouri and Mrs. Fay May of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Rhonda) Abbott of Quincy and Darlene, at home; one sister, Mrs. Hilda Williams of Independence, Mo. One brother preceded her in death. The funeral will be Saturday afternoon at 2 in the Diedrich Funeral Home. The Rev. Bruce Keegstra will officiate, and burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Quincy. on April 3, 1975.3
