Born Jan. 3, 1933, in Wilford, W. Va., he had lived in Cleveland before moving to Mentor. He was a member of the Cleveland Crime Watch and was a Sergeant of Arms at the UAW Local 1045. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Elmore was a material handler at General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Euclid for 34 years. Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Geneva; children, Glenda Long of Mentor-on-the-Lake and Otmer (Donna) Elmore of Mentor; grandchildren, Lisa Ferrell, Douglas Lewis Jr., Otmer Elmore Jr., Kristy (Geoff) Snow, and Otis Elmore; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Scotty Ferrell, Elizabeth, Julia and Megan Haffey, Douglas Lewis III and Ariel Elmore. He also leaves his dog, Angel. His brothers, Okey, Omer, Otmer, Orville, and Ord; and sisters, Nellie Moore and Marie Prather, are deceased. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery in Mentor. on October 21, 2005.6
