She was born on October 2, 1940 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary (Kashi) Spingola, Sr. Mrs. Blake worked from home as a cosmetologist and at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield as a certified nursing assistant. She was a graduate of Clearfield High School in 1958. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield. She was a volunteer of the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc., the Meals on Wheels and for the Clearfield Food pantry. She also belonged to PEER, XYZ Club, RSVP and the Martha Washington Lodge #1525 Order Sons of Italy in America. She is survived by five children, Ernest L. 'Len' Blake, Jr. of Clearfield, Allen Blake and wife Vicki of Grampian, Denise Biancuzzo and husband Joseph of Clearfield, Eric Blake of Clearfield, and Tammy Ortasic and husband Scott of Clearfield; 10 grandchildren; a sister and a brother, Irene Wisor and husband Fred of Clearfield, and Thomas J. Spingola, Jr. of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Blake, Sr. on September, 7, 1972, and five sisters, Elizabeth Morrison, Loretta Swatsworth, Margaret Rowles, Madeline Spingola and Mildred Clark. A memorial service will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at 11:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.1 She was buried at Calvary Cemetery, 1215 Park Avenue Extension, Clearfield, Clearfield Co., Pennsylvania.3 She and Richard James Smith were divorced.1 Rita M. She was retired from SKF in Hanover and was a member of Covenant Life Church in Hanover. Yvonne was very active with her church, enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Surviving are three children, Jeffery E. Smith and his fiance, Jerica Pritt of McSherrystown, Sharon M. Smith of Ashburn, VA., and Greg T. Smith and his wife, Wanda of Hanover; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey and companion Michelle, Jennifer, Gregory, Greta, Gerrilynn, Jonathan, Tara, Josiah, and Jaden; 20 great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Bernice, Patricia, Phyllis, Joan and Irene. A Memorial Service will be held 5 p.m. Friday at Covenant Life Church, 117 Ruth Ave., Hanover, with Pastor Kenneth E. Martz Jr. officiating. Burial will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. on May 29, 2013.2
