Mr. Hulings, who was born at Clarion April 9, 1876, was a woodsman by occupation, and worked at various times on woods jobs and at mills in the vicinity of Clarion, Brookville, and Kane. Following his retirement six years ago, he came here to reside with his daughter, Mrs. Bruce Brinkley. Mr. Hulings was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Laura C. Hulings, in 1942. He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Harry Zookerman of Jamestown, N.Y., Mrs. Betty Vick of Bemus Point, Miss Gladys Hulings, Miss Alice Hulings and Miss Elizabeth Hulings, Warren, and Mrs. Bruce Brinkley, Kane; four sons, Leon Hulings, Henry Hulings, Harold Hulings and Harry Hulings, all of Warren; a half-sister, Mrs. Mae Scheffler of Buffalo, and two grandchildren. Friends are invited to call at the Cummings funeral home at the regular visiting hours, 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 o'clock beginning today. Memorial services will be held at Cummings at 8 o'clock Sunday evening, with the Rev. Sherman H. Epler of First Methodist church officiating. Committal services will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock tt the Munder, Pa. cemetery near Brookville. on August 7, 1954.⁵

He was born on Feb. 16, 1903 at Wagnos Mills, son of the late Wells E. Scott I and May London. Mr. Scott, who was a 32nd degree Mason, was preceded in death by his father in December of 1969. Surviving are his wife, Nell Scott of Columbus; a son, Wells Scott of Columbus; one daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Shirley) Sheaffer of Columbus; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Maurice (Zoe) VanMetre of Cleveland, O. and Mrs. Ralph (Velma) Ruescher of California and a brother, Malcolm Scott of Venus, Fla. Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home on Saturday at the hours of 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Howard C. Patterson, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Kane, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. on December 2, 1971.⁴ He died on December 2, 1971 at Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio, at age 68.^7,4
