     Sharlene Walden Sharlene Damewood, age 54 of Magnolia, Texas passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. The daughter of Bobby Harold and Wanda Fae (Maloney) Walden was born December 15, 1956 in McKinney, Texas. She had been a lifelong resident of Texas and she enjoyed woodworking. She was preceded in death by her mother. Survivors are son, Jarrod Ryan Damewood of Stafford, Texas; daughters, Jacquelyn Nicole Damewood and Sara Michelle Damewood both of Houston, Texas; brother, Michael Walden and wife, Jo Ann of Harrison; and her twin sister, Marlene Walden of Magnolia, Texas. Burial followed in Union Hill Cemetery with pallbearers being Adam Rhoads, Mark Walden, Ronnie Chambers, and Jarrod Damewood. Honorary pallbearer is Charles Hannah.³ She was buried at Union Hill Cemetery, Parthenon, Newton Co., Arkansas.^3,2 She was born on December 15, 1956 at McKinney, Collin Co., Texas.^3,2 As of April 12, 1975,her married name was Damewood.¹ She married Larry Glenn Damewood Jr., son of Larry Glenn Damewood Sr. and Shirley Ann Taylor, on April 12, 1975 at Harris Co., Texas.^1,4 Sharlene Walden and Larry Glenn Damewood Jr. were divorced on October 22, 1997 at Brazoria Co., Texas.⁴ Sharlene Walden died on December 10, 2011 at Houston, Harris Co., Texas, at age 54.^3,2

Survivors include her husband David; three sons, David, Curtis and Christopher Damewood and a daughter Kimberly Damewood, all of Inglis; her mother Katherine Blevins, Inglis; a brother Bill Lanyi, Charleston, W.Va; and a sister Margaret Harmon, Inglis. on April 20, 1985.²

Born March 26, 1925 at Beckley, she was a daughter of the late William French and Thursabell French. Mrs. Sigmon was a retired junior high science teacher from the Mercer County School System. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Princeton where she was greatly involved in the missionary circles and in teaching adult Sunday School. Wanda was a current member of Temple Baptist Church, Pastor Richard Wallace, Sr., in Lewisville, Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sigmon; two sisters, Frances Hunter and Glida French; and a brother, William French. Survivors include one son, Jerry Sigmon and his wife Anita of Bethlehem, N.C; one daughter, Debbie Williams and her husband Ed of Lewisville, Texas; siblings, Charles and Nora French of Gainesville, Va., Morris and Vivian French of Daytona, Fla., Russell and Ethel Ellerson of Richmond, Va., Jimmy and Mary Lipscomb of Indian Trail, N.C., Audrey Mayes of Lutz, Fla. and Walter French of New Orleans, La. Additionally, Wanda is survived by two grandsons, Jeffery and Beverly Sigmon of Arlington, Va., and Rob and Jennifer Sigmon of The Netherlands, EU; along with three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Erin and Ryan. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. on December 28, 2009.²

Burial will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Princeton, W.Va. Pastor Nuckolls was born in Bluefield, W.Va., and had lived in Pleasantville since 1989. He is survived by his wife, Debbie. on September 7, 1993.³
