Preceded in death by his father, R. O. "Shorty" Williams Sr. on September 7, 1998.¹

Her body was found beneath the family car. The engine was running. A coroner ruled suicide. She had had a cancer operation in 1962 and was reported despondent over her health. Surviving are her husband Maj. Paul W. Barrow of Schilling Air Force Base; three daughters, Deborah Lee, Paula Jean, and Melody Ann Barrow of Salina; a sister, and two brothers. Burial will be in Bluebonnet Hills. on July 28, 1963.⁵
