Gregory Gene Jensen was born on October 24, 1948 at Superior, Nuckolls Co., Nebraska.3,4 He married Lucinda Jo Pederson on August 15, 1971 at Hardy, Nuckolls Co., Nebraska.3 Gregory Gene Jensen died on May 24, 2016 at Ord, Valley Co., Nebraska, at age 67.3 He ORD — Gregory Gene Jensen, 67, of Ord died May 24, 2016, at Valley County Hospital after a pickup-bicycle accident. Greg was born Oct. 24, 1948, at Superior to Kenneth and Dorothy (Littrel (sic)) Jensen. He went to Nora grade school, Nelson High School and University of Nebraska for his undergraduate and law school. Greg married Lucinda Jo Pederson Aug. 15, 1971, at the Lutheran church in Hardy. To this union two children were born: Ryan Jensen and Nikki Jensen. Greg was first and foremost a family man. His biggest joy was in being “Papa” to his precious grandchildren. He would talk and laugh about the funny things they said and of the play times they had together. He also often spoke about how he was to have his wonderful children, Ryan and Nikki, their spouses, Jenn and Nick, and his wife, Cinda. He was a good and faithful husband. Greg also had two sisters, Janet and Debbie, with whom, even though they were all separated in childhood by the early death of their parents, he maintained a close and loving bond. He was the life of any gathering and enjoyed seeing and visiting people. He did not attend church regularly, but he knew the Lord and it was reflected in his values of honesty, generosity, kindness and compassion for others. He was also a lawyer, and he took his job seriously. He strived to provide the best ethical and fair representation the law could provide to his clients. He spent many hours researching and drafting documents to best represent them. He also gave them a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. Greg was interested in many things. He was in Rotary Club and Toastmaster Club until Ord’s chapters closed. He was a member of Artisimos art club and was an avid photographer. In college, he was called the picture man because he had created a photo business to put himself through law school by taking photos of fraternity and sorority activities at UNL. He belonged to the Valley Rods Car Club and the Oldsmobile National Car Club. He so enjoyed the members at those meetings. Greg also loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Greg was diabetic and, because of his disease, he rode his bicycle as much as he could to help with this goal of staying in good health. He was such a hard worker and would ride from Ord to Elyria and back. When he was done riding he would say how much better he felt after a good ride. Unfortunately, it was during this activity that he had a terrible accident in which he was fatally injured. Greg was a forgiving man and we know he holds no ill will for anyone. We will remember him for many things and especially for his love of family, zest for life, kindness and giving nature. Greg is survived by wife, Lucinda Jensen; son, Ryan (Jenn) Jensen and grandsons, Gavin and Ian, all of Erie, Colo.: daughter, Nikki (Nick) Salter and grandson, Dashell, all of Edwards, Colo; sister, Deb (Mike) Corman; brother and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. on May 28, 2016.3
