"Pig" Keeling, 69, entered into eternal rest the morning of April 23, 2010 surrounded by loved ones. Clarence was a native of Roanoke, Va., born on July 12, 1940 to the late Clarence W. and Anna G. Holland Keeling. He was preceded in death by a son, Cory James Keeling. Clarence was educated in the Roanoke City school system and was an outstanding basketball player. His passions were photography, hunting, and fishing. Clarence was a member of the United States Air Force, and was honorably discharged, after which he was employed by Devo Paint Company and retired from N&W Railroad after many years of service. Those left to cherish his memory include a devoted ex-wife and friend, Ruth P. Keeling; sons, Todd T. Keeling and Clarence D. Keeling; daughters, Katina L. Keeling and Deidre L. (A.Tee), Keeling-Willis; grandchildren, Shawn Coles, D'Nario Keeling, KeAndre Keeling, Patrece Keeling, Shaquille Keeling, Antonio Keeling, Jasmine Keeling, Tevin Reynolds, Vincient Keeling, Ja-Cori Willis; and two great-grandchildren, Daymarre and Chauntavia; "adopted" grandson, David T. Goodman. Also left to cherish his memory are brothers, William R. Keeling and James B. (Delores) Keeling; sister, Judith Keeling Byrd, of Greenville, S.C; mother of his eldest children, Margaret M. Brown; aunts, Mildred Kinney, of Roanoke, Edith (Matthew) Paige, of Hampton, Va; uncles, Rev. Arthur (Becky) Keeling, of Ontario, Calif. and Charles Keeling, of South Norwalk, Conn; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Clarence was loved by his children and grandchildren; he will be missed by many. The family would like to thank the staff at the Salem VA Medical Center and Veterans Care Center for their outstanding care provided for the last 26 months and for the love and support shown in his last hours. on April 25, 2010.²

He was also involved in numerous other church and school activities. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence W. and Anna G. Keeling and extended family member, Geneva Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Ruth P. Keeling of Roanoke; his father, Clarence T. Keeling of Roanoke; his sister and nephew, Deidre L. Keeling and Vincient D. King of Roanoke; his half brothers, Todd T. Keeling and Clarence D. Keeling and wife, LaTonia, all of Roanoke; his half sister, Katina L. Keeling of Roanoke; maternal grandfather and grandmother, James E. and Lorene S. Pearman of Shawsville; uncles and aunts, James and Brenda Pearman of Salem, and Steve and Susan Pearman and daughter, Morgan of Virginia Beach; and numerous other friends, teammates, and relatives. He is also survived by extended family members, William (J.J.) Johnson and Francene Johnson, both of Roanoke. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke. on November 24, 2001.⁸

He was born on April 30, 1954, in Wytheville, the son of the late George W. and Lucy Hall Crigger. He was preceded in death by a brother, George W. Warren. Randall was a graduate of George Wythe High School, attended East Tennessee State University and a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop # 197 and a member of the Wytheville Fraternal Lodge # 82, AF & AM Masonic Lodge. Randall was an affiliate member on New River Valley Board of Realtors, Senior Residential Appraiser of Henrico County, Review Appraiser for Wells Fargo. He was owner and CEO of Crigger and Assoc. in Wytheville. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Wytheville and attended the Manakin Episcopal Church in Midlothian. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Pearman Crigger; devoted son, John Brandon Crigger of the home; sister, Lisa Crigger Cox of Wytheville, Va; two brothers, Larry D. Sadler of Roanoke, Va., and Greg Crigger of Wytheville, Va; and a host of family and friends. Interment will follow at West End Cemetery. on November 23, 2013.⁵

     Virginia Evelyn Cheshire was born circa 1906 at Henry Co., Virginia.¹ As of September 21, 1930,her married name was Pearman.¹ She married John Watson Pearman, son of Elbert Wilson Pearman and Lavinia Alice "Venie" Conner, on September 21, 1930 at Henry Co., Virginia.¹ Virginia Evelyn Cheshire and John Watson Pearman were divorced on April 10, 1944 at Martinsville, Virginia.²

Lucas of Roanoke; his sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Carl Barker of Roanoke County; his brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Sue Lucas of Roanoke; his niece, Stacy, his nephews, Ricky and Jason and several other nieces and nephews.
