     Anna Mary Lepore Anna Mary (Lepore) Meeks, May 6, 1929 - Nov. 30, 2018. Anna Mary (Lepore) Meeks, 89, Newburgh, Ind., passed away peacefully on Friday morning, Nov. 30, 2018. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late David and Angelina (Mirabella) Lepore. Surviving are two sons: Dana Meeks of Newburgh, Ind., and Steven Meeks of Flora, Ind; two granddaughters: Taryn Meeks and Samantha Meeks; two grandsons: Nicolas Meeks and Alexander Meeks; a great-granddaughter, Luna Meeks; a great-grandson, Rory Meeks; three brothers: Louis, Raymond and David; and two sisters: Donna and Betty. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Angelina; her husband of 56 years, Raymond E. Meeks, who passed away in 2009; eight brothers: Vernon, Ernest, Chester, Michael, Danny, Frank, Gene and Robert; and a sister, Shirley. Anna had 11 brothers and three sisters. Nine of her bothers served in the armed forces during WWII. She and her husband, Raymond, lived in Lanham, Md., and later moved to Fresno, Calif. When they retired, they then moved to Newburgh, Ind. to be closer to family. Anna was an avid bowler for many years, and she was an accomplished artist who was always quite happy to share her art with friends and relatives.¹ She was born on May 6, 1929 at Altoona, Blair Co., Pennsylvania.¹ As of June 13, 1953,her married name was Meeks.² She married Raymond Edward Meeks, son of Cecil Edward Meeks and Marion Eliza Johnson, on June 13, 1953 at Blair Co., Pennsylvania.^1,2 Anna Mary Lepore died on November 30, 2018 at Newburgh, Warrick Co., Indiana, at age 89.¹

Hampton, Sr. - Mr. Hampton was born September 20, 1936, in Monroe, LA and passed away August 14, 2008, in West Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. A retired Sergeant with the Louisiana State Police, he was a member of the Church of Christ, a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, and a life member of the Marine Corps League. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 48 years, Betty Thacker Hampton; daughter, Lisa G. Hampton and son, Charles "Chuck" Hampton, Jr; sisters, Mary H. Bonnett, Lila Monahan and Tollie Johnston; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Interment will follow at Monroe Memorial Park, Monroe, LA on August 15, 2008.²

     Granville Page Mawyer was buried at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro, Augusta Co., Virginia.^2,3 His Social Security Number was 223-24-4603.¹⁰ He was born on April 13, 1920 at Batesville, Albemarle Co., Virginia.^3,4,10,8,9 He married Katherine Mae “Rennie” Walker, daughter of Theodore "Theo" Walker and Mary Mabel Gowen, on April 20, 1942 at Waynesboro, Augusta Co., Virginia.^1,6 Granville Page Mawyer died on March 23, 2002 at Fishersville, Augusta Co., Virginia, at age 81.^1,3,5,10,8 He Granville Page Mawyer, 81 of 22 Walnut Street, Fishersville passed away Saturday, March 23, 2002 at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Mawyer was born April 13, 1920 the son of the late Clarence Dement and Mary Ella Mawyer. He served in WWII and retired from American Saftey Razor (ASR) in 1981 with 25 years service. He was preceeded in death by his parents, three brothers, Nicholas, Wilson and Grover Mawyer. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Katherine (Rennie) Mawyer, two sons, Gary and his wife Martha Mawyer, Ricky and his wife Frances Mawyer of Fishersville. VA, two daughters, Ellen and her husband Linwood Wiseman of Fishersville, VA and Dolores and her husband Clarence Forsyth of Swoope, VA, 12 grandchildren, G. W. Wiseman, Cheryl Wiseman Sams, Angela Mawyer Moore, Chad Mawyer, Cameron Mawyer, Charity Mawyer, Michelle Sutton, Jennifer Critzer, Jason Forsyth, Kristy Forsyth Folkers, Lori Mawyer Balser, Kathy Mawyer and also 12 great grandchildren, Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be his nephews, Nicholas Mawyer, Jr. C. T. Mawyer, John Mawyer, Tommy and Joe Mawyer. on March 25, 2002.³

     Richard Page Mawyer Richard Page “Ricky” Mawyer, 72, of Fishersville, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at his residence. Born September 25, 1949, he was a son of the late Granville Page and Katherine Mae (Walker) Mawyer. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a long time member of Fishersville United Methodist Church. Ricky was a career firefighter with 25 years of service at Augusta County Fire Department. After retirement, he continued to serve others with the transportation department with Augusta Health. Survivors include his beloved wife, Frances Dianne (Moyer) Mawyer; beloved daughters, Lori A. Mawyer, Kathy M. Podgorski and husband, Josh; brother, Gary W. Mawyer and wife, Martha; sisters, Ellen M. Wiseman and husband, Linwood, Dolores M. Forsyth and husband, Clarence; grandchildren, Aiden and Logan Podgorski. He also leaves his two K-9 companions, Katie Mae “My Sweetie” and Peanut. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park with military rites and a final call from the Augusta County Fire Department. Active pallbearers will be Ray Cline, Mike Smith, Al Mace, Pat Shipe, Jeff Simmons, Charlie Snyder, Scottie Arey and Amy Kingsley.
