     Anna Mary Lepore Anna Mary (Lepore) Meeks, May 6, 1929 - Nov. 30, 2018. Anna Mary (Lepore) Meeks, 89, Newburgh, Ind., passed away peacefully on Friday morning, Nov. 30, 2018. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late David and Angelina (Mirabella) Lepore. Surviving are two sons: Dana Meeks of Newburgh, Ind., and Steven Meeks of Flora, Ind; two granddaughters: Taryn Meeks and Samantha Meeks; two grandsons: Nicolas Meeks and Alexander Meeks; a great-granddaughter, Luna Meeks; a great-grandson, Rory Meeks; three brothers: Louis, Raymond and David; and two sisters: Donna and Betty. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Angelina; her husband of 56 years, Raymond E. Meeks, who passed away in 2009; eight brothers: Vernon, Ernest, Chester, Michael, Danny, Frank, Gene and Robert; and a sister, Shirley. Anna had 11 brothers and three sisters. Nine of her bothers served in the armed forces during WWII. She and her husband, Raymond, lived in Lanham, Md., and later moved to Fresno, Calif. When they retired, they then moved to Newburgh, Ind. to be closer to family. Anna was an avid bowler for many years, and she was an accomplished artist who was always quite happy to share her art with friends and relatives.1 She was born on May 6, 1929 at Altoona, Blair Co., Pennsylvania.1 As of June 13, 1953,her married name was Meeks.2 She married Raymond Edward Meeks, son of Cecil Edward Meeks and Marion Eliza Johnson, on June 13, 1953 at Blair Co., Pennsylvania.1,2 Anna Mary Lepore died on November 30, 2018 at Newburgh, Warrick Co., Indiana, at age 89.1

     Richard Page Mawyer Richard Page “Ricky” Mawyer, 72, of Fishersville, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at his residence. Born September 25, 1949, he was a son of the late Granville Page and Katherine Mae (Walker) Mawyer. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a long time member of Fishersville United Methodist Church. Ricky was a career firefighter with 25 years of service at Augusta County Fire Department. After retirement, he continued to serve others with the transportation department with Augusta Health. Survivors include his beloved wife, Frances Dianne (Moyer) Mawyer; beloved daughters, Lori A. Mawyer, Kathy M. Podgorski and husband, Josh; brother, Gary W. Mawyer and wife, Martha; sisters, Ellen M. Wiseman and husband, Linwood, Dolores M. Forsyth and husband, Clarence; grandchildren, Aiden and Logan Podgorski. He also leaves his two K-9 companions, Katie Mae “My Sweetie” and Peanut. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park with military rites and a final call from the Augusta County Fire Department. Active pallbearers will be Ray Cline, Mike Smith, Al Mace, Pat Shipe, Jeff Simmons, Charlie Snyder, Scottie Arey and Amy Kingsley.
