     Roger Dale Small Sr. Roger Dale Small, Sr., 63, of Vinton, VA passed away peacefully Saturday, December 25, 2021. He was born in Roanoke, VA on March 17, 1958. He was preceded in death by parents, Bobby and Peggy Small. Survivors are wife of 23 years, Katherline R. Small whom he married on March 21, 1998; children, Roger Lee Small (Julie), Lisa Small (Michael), John Wayne Hutchison (Kassi), Chris Small (April), Roger Small, Jr. (Marie), Carol Hobbs (Travis), Steven Trail (Angela), Justin Hobbs (Stacey) and Nick Hutchison; 34 grandchildren ; two great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Dee) and Terry (Tammy) Small; mother-in-law, Carol LaPradd; and special cousin, Carlton Kingery, Jr. (Toon); numerous nieces and nephews. Roger worked as General Manager for U-Haul until his retirement. His hobbies were cars and country music. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Roanoke.² He was buried at Fair View Cemetery, 3300 Melrose Ave. N.W., Roanoke, Virginia.² He was born on March 17, 1958 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,4 He married Katherline Renee "Kathy" LaPradd, daughter of Paul Lawrence LaPradd Jr. and Carol Jean Jarrett, on March 21, 1998 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,5,3,6 Roger Dale Small Sr. died on December 25, 2021 at Virginia at age 63.²

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Lee LaPradd Sr; mother Thelma Podruchney; and a sister, Peggy Pendleton. She is survived by her son, Jackie and wife, Cindy; daughter, Denise Gilley and husband, Mark; brother, David Podruchney and wife, Peggy; grandchildren, Matthew Gilley and wife, Allie, and Arielle and Kali LaPradd; nephew, David Podruchney Jr. and wife, Kim; and great-nephew and niece, Brandon and Lisa Podruchney. on October 4, 2013.¹
