     Roy Lawrence Johnson was buried at Johnson Cemetery, Franklin Co., Virginia.⁵ He was born on December 23, 1919 at Long Branch, Franklin Co., Virginia.^1,6,3,4 He married Winifred Irene Woods, daughter of George Andrew Woods and Girlie Gay Guilliams, on November 28, 1940 at Franklin Co., Virginia.¹ Roy Lawrence Johnson died on May 3, 1954 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 34.^2,6 He Roy Lawrence Johnson, 34, of Route 4, Bassett, died today in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Winifred Irene Johnson; his father, Homer Johnson, Ferrum; five sisters, Mrs. Lottie Hale, Mrs. H. E. Wade, both of Roanoke; Mrs. C. R. Westmoreland, Greensboro, N.C; Mrs. Leonard Shively, Mrs. Silas Willis, both of Ferrum; two brothers, Howard Johnson, Jack Johnson, both of Ferrum. Burial will be in the family cemetery near Ferrum. on May 4, 1954.²

     Joshua Layne "Josh" Clemons was buried at Mountain View Memorial Park (also known as Mountain View Burial Park), 5970 Grassy Hill Road, Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia.^2,5 He was born on October 11, 1988 at Roanoke, Virginia.^3,5 He died on July 10, 2012 at Franklin Co., Virginia, at age 23.^2,4,5 He Joshua Layne Clemons, 23, of Boones Mill, passed away suddenly on Tuesday July 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Viola Clemons, and John and Tennie Moran. He is survived by his mother, Wanda Clemons Harrington; father, Larry Dale Clemons; brother, Timothy Clemons; aunts and uncles, Becky and Don Loyd, Barry and Jayne Moran, Steven and Rosalie Moran, Wayne and Linda Clemons, Paulette and Jack Sain, and Marty and Valerie Clemons; his nannie, Alice Campbell; best friend and love of his life, Amber Hall; special cousin, Nicole; and numerous other family and friends. on July 13, 2012.²
