He was born in Hartville, OH, on April 21, 1942, to Noah and Sarah Miller Keim. Simon worked previously in Virginia Beach as a construction estimator and most recently as a school bus driver in Mecklenburg County. He enjoyed woodworking, especially making birdhouses.
