     Katherine Dwiggins was buried at Hanes Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Hamptonville, Yadkin Co., North Carolina.¹ She Katherine Dwiggins McCormick, age 73, passed away October 4, 2019. She was born May 16, 1946 in Davie County to the late Rufus Dwiggins Sr. and Pearl Hendren Dwiggins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Buck, Bill, John, and Jerry Dwiggins. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Franklin McCormick; son Kenny McCormick; daughter Jennifer McCormick; sisters Mildred Phelps, Sue Livengood, Diane (Bill) White; several nieces and nephews. Katherine enjoyed working in her yard, hiking and mountain biking, and she dearly loved her family. Burial will follow at Hanes Grove UMC Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Mtn.      Barbara Ann Day was buried at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 691 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia.⁵ She Barbara Ann West (Day) went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the age of 86. Born in Ashland, Ky. on October 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John W. Day, Sr. and Violet St.Clair Day. Barbara was a graduate of Fincastle High School and married her loving husband of 69 years during her senior year. Barbara joined the workforce and retired from Beneficial Finance. Barbara loved her family, classic tv shows, and shopping. She also enjoyed playing bingo and games that showcased her competitive nature. There was never a dull moment when Barbara was around as her sense of humor always brought bouts of laughter. Barbara was predeceased by her brothers, John W. Day Jr., Jack S. Day, Harold Lee Day, and son, Kevin West. Barbara is survived by her husband, Victor M. West; daughters, Vickie West Rice (Charles) and Patricia Lee West; grandchildren, C. Andrew Rice and Victoria Rice Eisenberg (Chase); and great-granddaughter, Hadley Ann Eisenberg.³ She was born on October 16, 1936 at Ashland, Boyd Co., Kentucky.^3,2 As of December 31, 1953,her married name was West.¹ She married Victor Maurice West, son of Charles McCafferty "Charlie" West Sr. and Hester Brier Collins, on December 31, 1953 at Chester Co., South Carolina.^1,3,4 Barbara Ann Day died on May 18, 2023 at Virginia Beach, Virginia, at age 86.³

     Thelma Jean Lynch was buried at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens, 7271 Cloverdale Road, Cloverdale, Botetourt Co., Virginia.⁴ She was born on December 4, 1935 at Franklin Co., Virginia.² As of December 4, 1953,her married name was Cook.⁵ She married Braxton Cook on December 4, 1953 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^4,5 Thelma Jean Lynch died on March 15, 2018 at Virginia at age 82.⁴ She Thelma Jean Lynch Cook, 82, of Fincastle, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Braxton Cook; and granddaughter, Amy. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Debbie Cook, Bobby and Kathy Cook; and daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Thomas McGrath; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and three sisters.      Connie Lee Lynch Connie Lee Cook, 76, of Vinton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 1, 2016. She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Grady, and Inez Collins Lynch, also preceding her death are; a daughter, Margaret Clark, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Leslie Cook, her 6 children; Rose Graham, Ricky Cook, Alice Cook, David Cook, Sandy Cook, Michael Cook and his fiancée, Misty Newland. She was a devoted Army wife who loved taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren. Those also left to mourn her passing are: numerous grandchildren. Including 2 very close to heart, Kimmy Cook, David Cook, as well as Shannon Cook, and Dennis Cook, numerous great-grandchildren including, Trey Jeffries, numerous other family members and friends.      Larry George Hodges Larry George Hodges, 63, of Wirtz, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015. He was born June 21, 1951 the son of the late George Washington Hodges and Mandy Noblett Hodges. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric W. Hodges. Surviving are his wife, Trudy Hodges; son, Darrell Hodges; granddaughter, Amber Cheyenne Hodges; two brothers, Earl Parker, Russell Hodges; sister, Mary Ann Hodges; several nieces and nephews.³ He was born on June 21, 1951 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 He married Trudy Mae Lynch, daughter of Grady Samuel Lynch and Inez Frances Collins, on January 17, 1992 at Buchanan, Botetourt Co., Virginia.¹ Larry George Hodges died on January 16, 2015 at Virginia at age 63.³

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Thelma Jean Cook; son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Deb Cook of Los Angeles, Bobby and Kathy Cook of Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Tom McGrath of Fincastle; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and brothers, Leslie, Gene, and Jerry Cook.
