Luke was a 2013 graduate of Atlee High School, where he was an excellent student and a member of the state championship track team. He was a comedian and loved to make you laugh. Luke was a keen, sensible and mature young man. His passion was cooking and he was a proud chef of Marty's in Mechanicsville. Luke was a loyal, devoted son and brother. He was a good friend to many and never met a stranger. Luke is survived by his mother, JoAnne Brizendine (John Mullen) of Ashland; his father, Franklin S. "Nick" Brizendine Jr. (Sue Ball) of Tappahannock; two brothers, Franklin S. "Tripp" Brizendine III of Cary, N.C, and Joseph "Levi" Brizendine of Ashland; grandparents, Cathy and Franklin Brizendine of Howerton, Marie Owen of Portsmouth and Irving Owen of Richmond; uncle, Dan Owen (Susie); aunt, Jeanne Rivenbark (Jimmy); cousins, Lindsey, Andrew and Hannah. Funeral services will be held in Howerton Baptist Church, Dunnsville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. on January 29, 2016.1
