     John Francis Spence On October 18, 2020, John “Jay” Francis Spence of Akron, Ohio, departed his earthly body and became present with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a valiant battle with cancer. He was 67 years old. Jay passed from this life surrounded by his closest family and was never alone. Jay handled death as he handled life, Steadfast and Fearless, Seasoned with Grace and Faith, and Eyes fixed Fervently on his Savior! Jay was born October 26, 1952 in Akron, Ohio to the late Christine (nee Harshbarger) and George Pavick. Jay was then adopted at a young age by his late father, Stanley Spence. He was the youngest boy of six children. Jay was a graduate of Kenmore High School, Class of 1970. Jay served in the Air Force from 1976-1980, where he received Airman of the Year at the Air Force Academy in 1979 and a Good Conduct Medal. He honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He worked as a computer programmer, following his Air Force commitment until he came to work, alongside his daughter and son-in-law in 2008 and worked tirelessly until his retirement in 2019. Jay was a member of The Chapel in Green where he enjoyed his time with his ABF and was in love with the time spent and the people in his choir family. Other than his parents, Jay was preceded by his son, Sean; and half-sister, Lynn Pavick. Survivors include his daughter, Joy (Joshua) Griffith; his grandchildren, Aiden, Aaron, Alison and Autumn Griffith. Also surviving are his siblings, George (Jan), Larry (Mary), Judith (Brooks) Gray, Anna (Ted) Callas, Sheree (Joy) McGuinness; and half-sisters, Yvonne Hulton, and Colleen Pavick. Jay also has countless nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.³ He was buried at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Medina Co., Ohio.² He was born on October 26, 1952 at Akron, Summit Co., Ohio.^1,2,3 He married Denise Adele Paradis, daughter of Roland Joseph Paradis and Elaine Mae Hoover, on June 22, 1973 at Summit Co., Ohio.¹ John Francis Spence and Denise Adele Paradis were divorced on June 8, 1979 at Summit Co., Ohio.⁴ John Francis Spence died on October 18, 2020 at Akron, Summit Co., Ohio, at age 67.^2,3

     Emma Jean Parrott was buried at West Chester Cemetery, 6425 West Chester Road, West Chester, Butler Co., Ohio.⁴ She Emma J. Perry, Nov 8, 1925 - Nov 20, 2020. Emma Jean Perry (nee Parrott) 95, of West Chester, OH passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side. Emma was born in Bardo, Kentucky to William P. and Virgie M. Parrott. Emma grew up in a family of seven children filled with Christian love. They had to move 16 times before she was 11 years old due to her father working in the coal mines. Later Emma met her husband-to-be at a church revival. They were both struck by the Love Bug and later married in 1942. Shortly after they started their family and were married for 54 years before Charles's passing in 1996. Emma was devoted to several very precious things here on earth. Jesus, her husband, and her family. She was baptized in the New River by her father and had been a Christian for over 81 years. Emma and her husband pastored a church for 24 years. She was a wonderful wife, a great mother and role model and a loving Nannie. Emma had a huge warm heart as she was willing to help others with her time, talent or resources. She longed to be with the Lord Jesus Christ and her husband, Charles. May she rest in peace. Emma is the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Perry, Sr., devoted mother of Delores (Rev. Darrell) Lively and Charles (Ola Ann) Perry, Jr., loving Nannie of Rebecca (Michael) Hardy, Michael (Jolene) Lively, C. Jacob (Mackenzie) Perry and Elizabeth Ann Perry and great-Nannie of Carolyn, Jonathon and David Hardy, Samuel and Joseph Lively, dear sister of the late Rev. Beulah Pack, Lucille Conrad, Rev. James Parrott, Bill Parrott, Ruth Ella Parrott and Roscoe Parrott. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.² She was born on November 8, 1925 at Bardo, Harlan Co., Kentucky.^4,2,3 As of April 4, 1942,her married name was Perry.³ She married Rev. Charles Jefferson Perry, son of Cyrus Edward Perry and Lottie Gertrude Meadows, on April 4, 1942 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^1,4,2,3 Emma Jean Parrott died on November 20, 2020 at Ohio at age 95.²
