     Dr. Jack Edwin Conner was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1 Mount Olivet Drive, East Ridge, Hamilton Co., Tennessee.⁵ His Social Security Number was 415-60-4098.² He married Kathleen Stone.⁵ Dr. Jack Edwin Conner was born on July 29, 1940 at Jacksboro, Campbell Co., Tennessee.² He married Christine Poff on December 12, 1959 at Harrogate, Claiborne Co., Tennessee.³ Dr. Jack Edwin Conner died on September 1, 2001 at Chattanooga, Hamilton Co., Tennessee, at age 61.^2,7,5 He Dr. Jack E. Conner, a father, husband, friend and lifelong educator, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at his home. He was 61. Jack was first and foremost a family man. He was also a father to the fatherless and was loved and admired by many as a generous, loyal and trusted friend. He was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Before his retirement from the Chattanooga city school system, Jack had been an active member and officer of several community and business organizations. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Stone Conner; his children, Joe and Kim Conner of Chattanooga, Cindy and Will Jenkins of Fenton, Mich., Diane and Jimmy Hitchcock of Ooltewah, Judy and Derek Taylor of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, Will, Jeffrey and Caroline Conner, Brian, Derek and Kyle Jenkins, Andrew and Katie Jo Hitchcock and Olivia Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe A. Conner and Carrie Swafford Conner; and a sister, Joan Conner Stevens. Private interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. on September 3, 2001.⁵
