Jeffery Thomas Luckado was buried at Glade Creek Cemetery, Blue Ridge, Botetourt Co., Virginia.2 He A Henderson County grand jury Friday asked for more information concerning its investigation of the June 15 fatal shooting of a burglary suspect by a Caney City policeman. District Attorney Melvin Whitäker said the jurors passed action in the case pending presentation of several more "items of evidence" which the jury requested. The jury is looking into the death of Jeffery Thomas Luckado, 18, of Botecourt County, Va., on June 15. Luckado was shot to death while reportedly fleeing from Caney City Officer Ron Loman. Whitaker said the jury will be cailed back into session in the next two weeks to complete the investigation. The shooting happened after Loman attempted to arrest the youth and the young man reportedly broke and ran twice, once after knocking Loman down. Loman is no longer on the Caney City department which is operating with only one officer in the city, Chief James Nations.4 He was born on April 30, 1962 at Roanoke, Virginia.2,3 He died on June 15, 1980 at Caney City, Henderson Co., Texas, at age 18.2
