     Ruben William Bittinger Ruben “Buck” William Bittinger, 68, of Lower George’s Creek Road, Lonaconing, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland. Born in Washington D.C. on December 29, 1953 he was the son of Mary (Marshall) Bittinger and the late Ruben Bittinger. He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Bittinger. Ruben worked as a carpenter and as an electrician. He loved music; writing songs, singing and playing the guitar. He played throughout the area with many local musicians. He had a strong love for the Lord and his grandchildren were his life. Together with his mother, Mary Bittinger he is also survived by four children, Stacey Bristol of VA, Shane Bittinger and wife Candice also of VA, Brittany Zais and husband Logan Smith of Lonaconing and Cassie Bittinger of Midland; sixteen grandchildren, Sabrina, Wesley, Robert, Gabrielle, Shane, Drew, Emma, Maci, Macyn, Natalie, Nathan, William, Isaac, Kaden, Paisley and baby boy, Dominic on the way; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Brady; two sisters, Patricia Coleman and husband Tom and Tina Droll; two brothers, Joseph Bittinger and wife Sherry and Robert Bittinger; sister-in-law, Loretta Bittinger and numerous nieces and nephews.³ He was born on December 29, 1953 at Washington, D.C..^1,2,3 He married Lillian Lorraine Kent, daughter of Paul Augustus Kent and Emma Bell Pardue, on June 21, 1974 at Manassas, Virginia.¹ Ruben William Bittinger and Lillian Lorraine Kent were divorced on April 6, 1990 at Prince William Co., Virginia.² Ruben William Bittinger died on February 15, 2022 at Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland, at age 68.³
