Born on January 30, 1944, she was a daughter of the late William Earl Johnson and Maudia Mae Pyles Johnson. She was a former employee of Wolverine in Blacksburg. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Ethel Johnson of Pearisburg; her husband of 43 years, Carl K. Martin; her children and their spouses, Rocky and Sandra Martin of Troutville, Gregory and Dana Martin of Christiansburg, Kimberly and Mike Moles of Riner, Timothy and Crystal Martin of Blacksburg; her brothers, Robert James Johnson, Duck Johnson, Earl Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Butch Johnson, all of Pearisburg; her sisters, Cricket Lucas, Ada Lee French, Anita Simpkins and Earthel Middleton, all of Pearisburg and Mary Lee Jones of Thaxton; six granddaughters, Britanny Martin, Meredith Martin, Sydney Smith, Morgan Martin, Jordan Moles and Shyan Martin; two grandsons, Josh and Mike Huff; and many other relatives and special friends. Entombment will follow in Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg. on March 5, 2005.¹

     Terry Ray Smith was buried at Smith Family Cemetery, 3110 Meadowbrook Drive, Kanodes Mill, Montgomery Co., Virginia.² He was born on September 5, 1967 at Radford, Virginia.^1,2,3 He married Kimberly Dawn Martin, daughter of Carl Kermit Martin and Audrey Shockey Johnson, on July 2, 1988 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.¹ Terry Ray Smith and Kimberly Dawn Martin were divorced on March 18, 1997 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁴ Terry Ray Smith died on December 24, 2016 at Blacksburg, Virginia, at age 49.² He Terry Ray Smith, 51, of Blacksburg, Passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at his home. He was born in Radford September 7, 1965 and was preceded in death by his father, Paris Elliott Smith; and sister, Linda Surface; and three uncles, Radford Price, Howard Price and Jackie Price. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Janie Smith, of Blacksburg; daughter, Sydney Smith, of Christiansburg; son, David Burton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paris "Buster" and Patricia "Pat" Smith, and Amy Smith, of Statesboro, Ga; uncle William Price and wife Christiansburg, Jimmy and Sherry Smith, of Covington, Wayne Rebecca, aunt, Marian P. Moore; special friend and caretaker, Terena Epperly; many cousins; nieces and d nephews. Interment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery. on December 26, 2016.²
