She is survived by her children James Pugh, Brian Gwinner, and Thomas Gwinner, her grandchildren Brandi, Brandon, Kyle, Noah, Olivia, Justin, and Jem, her great-grandchildren Michael, Joseph, and Emily, and her siblings Bruce, Kathy, Debbie, and Thomas. Karen's father was Thomas O’Donnell, and her mother was Gloria Brautigam. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas O’Donnell, mother Gloria Brautigam, husband Lee Gwinner, and children Michael and Daniel. Karen was born on April 11, 1944, in Orange, New Jersey, and worked as a legal secretary in Washington, D.C.³
