The family will receive friends 3 to 5 Monday, January 12 at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with a funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 13 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 109 Main Street, Reisterstown with her pastor the Rev. Timothy P. Feaser officiating. Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery at a later date. He enlisted in the Navy after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and was later promoted to officer. He was an electronics instructor. He served in Guam, and was in the Navy Reserves for many years. As a young engineer, he worked in radio and television until his retirement. In 1968 he moved to Owings Mills as technical operations manager for the newly formed Maryland Public Broadcasting Network. He and his wife traveled to six continents and all 50 states. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Virginia, Mary and Nancy; grandchildren Lynda, John and Nancy; and great-grandchildren Daniel, Abbigayle, Katelyn, Leah, Grace and Harrison. He was predeceased by an infant son, Danny. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 109 Main St., Reisterstown. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church. on May 1, 2008.⁵
