Born on September 25, 1935, at Fayetteville, WV. He was the son of the late William James "Lemon" and Virginia Elizabeth Parker Nutter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son: Brian Keith Nutter, two sisters: Patricia Fraley and Elizabeth Ferguson, three brothers: Alfred, William and John Nutter. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to many. He was a member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church at Quinwood, he was a disabled coal miner, a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War and Airborne serving as a Para Trooper. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife: Carol Castle Nutter of Rainelle, one daughter: Kimberly (Brian) Herron of Walkersville, VA, two sons: Butch (Brenda) Nutter of Boardway, VA, Bill (Brenda) Nutter of Charmco, three foster sons: James Richardson, George Jones, and Daniel Mazur, one sister: Barbara Yoder of Quinwood, one brother: George "Eddie" (Patty) Nutter of Quinwood. Mr. Nutter is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends and his dog "Little Man." Friends may visit with the family at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel at Rainelle on Sunday, November 2, 2014, from 1 to 2 p.m. Services will be held at the chapel at 2 p.m. following visitation hour with Pastor James Murdock officiating. Burial will follow at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel, 213 Main Street, Rainelle, WV 25962, to help with the expenses. on November 1, 2014.3

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Summersett Funeral Home. on November 9, 2007.3

Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Kimberly Herron (Brian) of Walkersville, WV; two sons, Butch Nutter (Brenda) of Broadway, VA and Bill Nutter of Charmco, WV; three foster sons, James Richardson, George Jones and Daniel Mazur; one sister, Leona Ruth (Ed) Simmons of Willoughby, Ohio; one brother, Charles Castle (Martha) of Kermit; step mother, Ozella Adkins of Charmco, WV; 10 grandchildren: Hutch, Joshua, J. C., Andrew, Will and Grace Nutter, Jackie Wykle, David Metz, Sharanda Heater, and Sasha Jacobs; 6 great-grandchildren and two on the way. Special caregiver and friend, Teresa Williams and her best friend and pet dog, "Little Man." Service will be 2 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle.
