     Herman Douglas "Doug" Ragland Jr. H. Douglas Ragland, Jr., 82, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Taylor Ragland. Born in Lynchburg, March 26, 1934, he was the son of the late Herman Douglas Ragland and Neva Meredith Ragland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janie R. Young and one grandson, Shane Ragland. Doug was retired from Bell Atlantic Telephone Co. He was also a local business owner having been a partner in the Night Gallery/Gatsbys and former owner of Heavenly Ham for 19 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Garry D. Ragland and his wife Libby of Goode, Dean H Ragland of Forest, Dana Jo Campbell and her husband Gary of Lynchburg, Kelly R. Milstead of Wakefield, RI and Kerry W. “Bubba” Ragland and his wife Tonilyn of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.⁴ He was born on March 26, 1934 at Lynchburg, Virginia.^2,3 He married Barbara Elizabeth Taylor, daughter of William Berkley "Shine" Taylor Jr. and Elizabeth Frances Coleman, on November 19, 1983 at Lynchburg, Virginia.^1,2,4 Herman Douglas "Doug" Ragland Jr. died on December 13, 2016 at Lynchburg, Virginia, at age 82.⁴

She owned and operated the famous Party Hearty, a party and event planning store of Orlando and Merritt Island, FL. Previously she managed procurement services for the US Navy southern region package stores. In 2005 she moved to The Villages, FL. She is survived by Bernardo Mullany of The Villages, FL; daughter, Kay Altizer of Napa, CA; sons, Al Cornell of Killingworth, CT, and Ron Cornell of Melbourne, FL; and five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. on December 4, 2012.⁵

     Mickel Bright "Mickey" McMillian Jr. was born on April 1, 1929 at Lewisburg, Greenbrier Co., West Virginia.^1,2 He married Kathleen Marie Taylor, daughter of Claude Anderson Taylor and Lillian Mae Woody, on August 23, 1947 at Amherst, Amherst Co., Virginia.^1,3

     Gerald Louis McMillian was buried at Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor, Alleghany Co., Virginia.^2,1 His Social Security Number was 229-70-5347.⁵ He Gerald Louis (Perch) McMillion, age 62, of Salem, Virginia, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1950 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to Michael B. "Mickey" and Kathleen Taylor McMillion of Clifton Forge. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was employed with the United States Postal Service. He was a life member of the Elliston VFW and a member of the Salem Coin Club. He loved to shoot pool and go to flea markets. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles M. McMillion in 2000. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Janet Anglin and husband Larry, and Kathie McMillion-Helms, both of Covington; a brother, Darryl McMillion of Clifton Forge; three special nieces; three special nephews; and a number of great nieces and great nephews. Huffman, Denny Fitzgerald, Gary Brooks and Carl Furry.      Mark William Ridgley was buried at Garden of Memories, Metairie, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.¹ He was born on November 27, 1954 at Washington, D.C..^1,2 He died on October 30, 2016 at New Orleans, Louisiana, at age 61.¹ He Mark William Ridgley passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the age of 61. He was born in Washington, D.C. to Lois Baker Galway and the late Elwood J. Ridgley, Jr. He was the stepson of the late George J. Galway; step brother of Garry J. Galway and the nephew of Robert Baker. Mark lived in New Orleans since 1961 and served in the U.S. Navy during the end of the Vietnam War. He was a true New Orleanian, enjoying the lifestyle and living life to the fullest. For many years, he owned and operated Warehouse District Pizza and could always be counted on to bring the food to any gathering. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Mark was his own person who could always be counted on to share his goodness and personality with those he came in contact with. He will be sadly missed by all, but especially by his mother and his friend, Lisa Mondello. Interment will be private in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
