Conn, Great Falls; Mrs. H. P. Chadwick, Dayton, Wyo; Mrs. Frank Gossett, Ballantine; Mrs. Florence Carr and Mrs. Katie Roset, both of British Columbia, Canada; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Ballantine Congregational Church with the Rev. Gale Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery, Ballantine. Kirchner, 96, of Caldwell/Nampa, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Nampa Care Center. Bill was born in Rolf, Nebraska on April 30, 1914 to Jeremiah and Maime Kirchner. He was raised and educated in Nebraska graduating high school in 1933. Bill taught school before joining the US Navy in 1937. He proudly served his country for 8 years and was a World War II veteran. Bill married Reva Dillon in Long Beach, CA on Dec 13, 1938. They had 3 children, David, Daniel and Rose Marie. After being honorably discharged, the family moved to Vale, Oregon to farm. In 1955, they moved to San Jose, CA where Bill went to Bible College and received a Bachelor of Sacred Literature degree. He was ordained as a minister in 1960. Bill worked as a minister and a high school custodian before moving back to Idaho in 1975. Bill is survived by his wife of 71 years, Reva, of Nampa; a son, David and Judy Kirchner, of CA; a daughter, Rose Marie and Harry DeHaven, of Nampa; four granddaughters, 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Mabel Rader, of NE; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Daniel; three brothers and four sisters. on July 16, 2010.⁵

He attended the First Christian Church in Greeley and Loveland. Chuck enjoyed traveling, fishing, and camping during his retirement. He never met a stranger and loved talking to people. Chuck is survived by his sons Charles (Rita) Adams of Fort Collins and Carl (Melissa) Adams of Englewood; grandchildren James Adams of Fort Collins and Nora Adams of Englewood; and his devoted caregiver for the last 7 years, Rosemarie Lucero.
