He was born in Norton, Virginia to John William Riddle, Jr. and Georgia Poff Riddle and recently celebrated his 76th birthday on September 29th. He was a graduate of Bluefield High School and attended Emory & Henry College in Southwest Virginia. He served 2 years in Germany with the United States Army after which he returned to Bluefield, West Virginia where he and first wife, Gay Nabors Riddle worked at Warlick Furniture Store. He later became a Cattleman/Farmer in his beloved Bland County, Virginia where he and Gay raised two children, Tim and Cris. Sometime later they moved to Max Meadows, Virginia.
In addition to his parents, Tillman was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Gay, and his daughter, Cris Noel Newberry. He is survived by his second wife, Sandra Counts Arrington Riddle of the home; son, James Tillman (Tim) Riddle and wife, Mary Pruett Riddle of Rocky Mount, Virginia; granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Riddle of Bourbonnais, Illinois. His brother, John W. Riddle, III and his wife, Carol are residents of Bluefield, West Virginia along with his nephew, John W. Riddle, IV, his wife Billie and their children, Zachary and Isabella. Stepsons, Jeff and Dax Arrington live in Bristol, Virginia and Charleston, South Carolina. Other family members include his brother-in-law, Bill Nabors and wife Mary Lou of Bluefield, West Virginia. on October 29, 2015.6

She found joy in making banners and props for church programs, as well as supporting her son's marching band. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to her community, becoming a long-time member of the United Methodist Church. Addie's commitment to her faith and service was evident as she held various offices with the United Methodist Women at local, district, and conference levels, eventually serving as the former president of the Virginia Conference United Methodist Women. Addie was also a proud grandmother to her grandson, Luke. Addie is survived by her son, Kevin Wilson Haynes and his wife, Beth and her grandson, Luke Wilson Haynes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Wilson Haynes; and her second husband, James Earl Walker. He was born in Patrick County on Feb. 28, 1918, to Nathan and Flora Pigg Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Montgomery Johnson; and a brother, Wesley Johnson. He retired from Stanley Chevrolet as a mechanic and was a member of Mary Horner Walker Presbyterian Church. Surviving is a son, Cam Johnson of Claudville. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Johnson family cemetery. on August 17, 2004.2

Overbey.1 Sarah Elizabeth Hensley was born on September 9, 1891 at Kibler, Patrick Co., Virginia.1 As of August 14, 1910,her married name was Pigg.2 She married Luther Hartwell Pigg, son of Thomas C. "Tom" Pigg and Susan Jane Yates, on August 14, 1910 at Patrick Co., Virginia.2 Sarah Elizabeth Hensley died on November 7, 1954 at Danville, Virginia, at age 63.1 She Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Overbey, 63, died in Memorial Hospital yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock after being in declining health for several years. She was born September 9, 1891 and was the daughter of the late Samuel Hensley and Louise Vipperman Hensley. At the time of her death, she was making her home with her daughter, Miss Artie Overbey, at 322 Richmond Ave. Mrs. Overbey had lived in Danville most of her life and was of the Baptist faith. Her husband, Andrew Jackson Overbey died in 1934. She is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Myrtle Moss, Gretna; Mrs. Ocie Bosiger, Gretna; Miss Artie Overbey, Danville and William H. Overbey of Baltimore. Also left are four brothers, and two sisters, Tom Hensley, New York City; James Hensley, Stanleytown; John Hensley, West Virginia; Lonnie Hensley, Leaksville, N.C; Mrs. Leah Epperson, Florida; and Mrs. Nancy Stegal of Danville. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the chapel of F. W. Townes and Son and interment will be in the Moss family cemetery on the Vandola Road. on November 8, 1954.1
