Jr., Route 1, Fayetteville; four daughters, Mrs. Louis Prather, Charleston, Mrs. Lois Belle Thompson and Miss Joann Ellen Tincher, both of Route 1, Fayetteville and Mrs. Ressie Smith, Oak Hill; six brothers, Lee, Silas and Tom, all of Route 1, Fayetteville, Henry, Route 2, Beckley, Forest, Kilsyth, Herbert, Bangor, Mich; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Taylor, Route 1, Fayetteville, Mrs. Olive Woodson, Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Esther Bennett, Mount Hope and five grandchildren. on December 12, 1963.3

They moved to Florida in 1955, where Sebert was employed as a machinist and fireman on the railroad. Georgia was a long time attendee of Discovery Church in Wildwood. She was an active volunteer during the time of the church’s bus ministry program. Georgia was preceded in her death by her parents George and Bertha Ellen (Smith) Payne; her husband of 39 years Sebert Paxton; her sister Margaret; her brother Robert (Pete); her daughter Carolyn; and her son Roger. Georgia is survived by her children, Charles (Myra) Paxton, Steve (Debbie) Paxton, Patty (Joey) Collins and daughter-in-law Luellyn; her 10 grandchildren; and her 5 great grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with Pastor George Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Route 1, Fayetteville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles T. Sink, son, Billy Joe Sink, brothers, Dietz Smith and Edgar Smith. Born Jan. 5, 1899, at Dothan, she was the daughter of the late John and Lobe Toney Bragg. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and was a member of the Oak View Church of God at Roanoke, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Sidney Smith; two sons, Shelvon and Ernest Smith; a daughter, Lula Vivian Smith and a brother, Ray V. Bragg. Survivors include two daughters, Wilma Toney of Dothan and Lillian Coleman of Ft. Myers, Fla; two sons, Rev. Milton Smith of Roanoke, Va. and Edgar R. Smith of Gettysburg, Pa; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Burial will follow in the Lawson Webb Cemetery at Dothan. on January 20, 1992.3

Born Aug. 17, 1916, at Dothan, he was the son of Gretchen Bragg Smith of Gettysburg, Pa., and the late Albert Smith. Mr. Smith was a retired miner having retired from the New River Company at Siltex Mines. He was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, the United Mine Workers of America, Oak Hill Lodge No. 120 A.F and A.M., Sewell Chapter No. 24 R.A.M., Mount Hope Commandary No. 22 K.T., Beni Keaem Shrine Temple, the Fayette County Shrine Club, Scottish Rite Bodies, Oak Hill Chapter No. 107 O.E.S. and the Knights of Pythias. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Chaanine in 1983. Survivors include his wife, Margie L. Smith; a son, Winston S. Smith of Oak Hill; a daughter, Delilah Gail Knox of Powhatan, Va; two brothers, Edger Smith of Gettysburg, and Milton K. Smith of Roanoke, Va; two sisters, Wilma Toney of Dothan, and Lillian Coleman of Fort Myers, Fla., and five grandchildren. Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity with Masonic graveside rites. on May 21, 1990.4
