Bob went to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 14, 2013 in Duncan Regional Hospital at the age of 86. Bob served his country in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged in May of 1946 and married Maxine Guinn on September 21, 1946 in Byers, Texas. Maxine preceded him in death September 28, 2008. They owned and operated Quality Glass in Duncan for over 33 years. He was a member of the Housing Authority Board, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and officer in the Moose and Elks Lodge. He was the first governor of the Moose Lodge in Duncan. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church. He loved to work in the garden and could make a tomato grow from a stick. He loved to go camping and fishing and especially loved fly fishing. He was good with his hands and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to go on guided hunts in the earlier years and also enjoyed deer hunting with his grandson. He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by daughters - Gwyndolyn Sue Gardner and husband Greg and Sheila Renee Cole, daughter in law Jeanne Cole, 8 grandchildren - Amy Moss, Shelly Wilson, Sara Wilson, Melissa Gardner, Jon Cole, Melissa Murphy, Cole Morris, Jered Davis, and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Maxine, son - Mike, and siblings - Cecil and Martha. Funeral services for Mr. Cole will be Monday, November 18, 2013 at 10:30AM at First Baptist Church in Waurika with Rev. Jeff McLemore officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-8PM and Sunday from 1-5PM with family receiving visitors from 3-5PM. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Charles Webb, and sisters, Mildred Webb and Glenna Webb McKee, and cousin, Mary Martin Cumbo. Survivors include sons, Dr. Roy Edward Martin Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Thomasville, N.C., and Hal Craig Martin and wife, Melanie, of Charlotte, N.C; brother, William Earls Webb of Fincastle; sister, Edith Webb Carpenter of Roanoke; and six grandchildren, Nick Martin and wife, Astrid, Jillian Martin, Britt Martin, Melissa Martin, Conner Martin, and Cole Martin. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, in Mount Rose Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Cahill officiating. The family has asked that everyone wishing to attend the graveside service gather at the funeral home by 2 p.m. Saturday for procession to the cemetery.
