     John William "Jack" Fagg was buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township, Vermilion Co., Indiana.3,4 His Social Security Number was 308-28-0708.6 He was born on January 18, 1930 at Terre Haute, Vigo Co., Indiana.6,3,4 He married Rosetta Marie Grindle, daughter of Aaron Wesley/Westley Grindle and Agnes Byrena Hoke, on October 28, 1950 at Indiana.1,5 John William "Jack" Fagg died on September 7, 2004 at Terre Haute, Vigo Co., Indiana, at age 74.6,3,4 He John "Jack" William Fagg, of Terre Haute, died peacefully in his residence surrounded by his family on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, following a battle with cancer. He was the owner/operator of the Garfield Barber Shop from 1966 to 2004. He was previously employed by Green Valley Coal Mine and Visqueen (Tredgar). He was born January 18, 1930, in Terre Haute to John W. Fagg and Mable M. Hensley Fagg. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rosetta; three daughters, Pamela Hall and her husband Joe, Brenda Herald and her husband Tex, all of Terre Haute, and Sheila Gardner of Clarksville, Tenn; five grandchildren and their spouses, Christina and Scotty McGovern, Craig and Ashley Hall, Austin and Sara Shepard, Chet and Beth Gardner and Jack and Angie Gardner; eight great-grandchildren, Adrian, Laurah Ann and Emily, John, Lexie and Dalton, Fantasy, Anthony and Bailee. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandmother, Alice; and a daughter, Tina Rose. He graduated from Gerstmeyer (Tech) in 1949. He was a Korean War veteran and part of the 187th Airborne Company K Rakkasans. He served from 1952-1954. He was a member of the Krietenstein Post 104, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. Marine Corps League and a member of Valley Field and Stream. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father and caring grandfather. He was an avid hunter and fisher with his grandson, Craig. He will be greatly missed by many but he leaves behind many fond, happy memories. He will be deeply missed. Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bob Roush officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton, with graveside military rites by Krietenstein Post 104. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
