She was born November 15, 1919 in Roanoke, was educated and lived there most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Riley; and her parents, William and Callie Hall; as well as seven brothers and sisters, Edith Bandy, Myrtle Noonkester, Dorothy Bradley, Clarence Hall, Robert Hall, Pauline Layman and David Ellis Hall. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, William Raymond "Buck" and Chris Hall; a sister-in-law, Bernice Hall, widow of David Ellis "Cass" Hall of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews, including Jeanette Richardson of Bedford. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Fair View Cemetery in Roanoke, with Rev. Frank Feather officiating. Arrangements by Oakey' s North Chapel, 362-1237. on October 12, 2005.5

Follow this road 1/4 of a mile, and watch for cemetery sign on the right above the road, Pinoak, Mercer Co., West Virginia.2 She Early Tuesday morning, Dorothy Alice Walker Poff, 90, of Princeton went home to be with her Lord and Savior after a long illness. Born June 22, 1929 at Pemberton, she was the daughter of the late Eldridge and Nannie Mae Tilley Walker. Dorothy was a graduate of Matoaka High School, Class of 1947.She was well known in Wyoming and Raleigh Counties for her gifts of Art and Crafts, having participated in the Appalachian Arts and Crafts festival for 35 years. Dorothy retired from the WV Extension Service in Wyoming County after many years of service. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Lee Poff and five siblings, Evelyn Gillespie, Dana Pettry, Imogene Wood, Roger Walker and Sheila Rae Payne. Those left to cherish her memory, her five devoted and loving children, Barbara Phlegar (Joe), Larry Poff (Sherry), Judy Laxton, Jackie Poff (Ruby) and Sandra Wallen (Andy); Nine grandchildren; Thirteen great-grandchildren; Twelve great-great-grandchildren; Three siblings, Ronald “Bernard” Walker (Nancy), Marlene Dillon, and Sylvia Kinzer (Daniel); Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 1, 2020 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Elder Richard Gillespie officiating.
