Those left to cherish his memory include two sisters, Mary Lou Mason of Baltimore, Md., and India Brown of Hinton; caregiver, Sue Patti of Haymarket, Va; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Reverend Melissa White officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. He loved nature and the out-of-doors and was involved in the United Methodist youth camping program at Spring Heights near Spencer. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, William P. Belcher and Nellie Belcher; a son, James Kirwan Belcher; one sister, Verna Ewing; and a brother, Bill Belcher. He is survived by his wife Helen of Dunbar; a sister, Melba Lowry of Ponce Inlet, Fla; sons, David V. of Tampa, Fla. and Alan R. of Charlotte, N.C; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012, Elizabeth Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors and friends Sunday, November 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Good Shepherd Mortuary in South Charleston. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Spring Heights, 2067 Barrcut Road, Spencer, W.Va. 25276, or to Emory and Henry College, PO Box 950, Emory, Va. 24327. on November 17, 2012.3
