He was dearly loved by his family and many friends. His sweet smile, quick wit and kind heart touched the lives of so many. Our hearts are broken over his death. Peter was born September 30, 1981. He was the son of Charles Melvin Roberts and Carolyn Gearhart Roberts. He graduated from Parry McCluer High School in 2000. He worked at Totally Party in Lexington. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernestine Heizer and Gladys Roberts; maternal grandparents, Rockford and Beatrice Gearhart; and a very special great-aunt and uncle, Mildred and Laban Gearhart. Left to mourn his loss are his parents; a brother, Brock Roberts and special friend, Reneda Chittum of Buena Vista; a sister, Kelly Roberts and fiance, Brent Varney of Winchester; a very special great-aunt, Margaret Argenbright; aunts and uncles, Linda Painter, Shirley and Billy Bane, Gary and Dorothy Gearhart of Raphine, David and Donna Gearhart of Winchester, Joe and Mary Jo Gearhart of Forest, Les and Becky Gearhart of Buena Vista; cousins, Darryl Bane, Nicki Painter Darrell, Kevin Gearhart , Curtis Gearhart , Kim Gearhart , Andrew Gearhart , John Rockford Gearhart , Joseph Leslie Gearhart , and Danny Fullerton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2005 at Calvary Brethren Church in Buena Vista with Rev. Rick Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service. Peter had a great appreciation for the Gideons, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to this organization. on January 13, 2005.¹
