He was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Lester Bailey and George Millard Bailey. Survivors include his wife, Willie Genieve (Billy) Bailey; four sons, Kermit Bailey of Lynco, Avary Bailey of Kopperston, Teddy Bailey of Morgantown and Gary Bailey of Glen Fork; a brother, Robert H. Bailey of Oceana, and eight grandchildren. Services will be Thursday at ll a.m. at the Evans Memorial Chapel in Oceana with the Revs. J.L. Riffe, Roger Bailey and Basil Brown officiating. Entombment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Beckley. Friends may call today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Evans and Evans Funeral Directors in Oceana. Pallbearers will be Larry Cook, Larry Cook Jr., Fairley Jewell, Jack Steele, Bobby Colucci and Pete Stewart. The Varney Cline American Legion Post of Pineville will conduct the graveside services. on November 28, 1990.3

     Lomer Kester McMillion LYNCO - Lomer K. "Chick" McMillion, 70, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at his residence following a long illness. Born June 15, 1932, in Raleigh County, he was the son of the late Avary and Ocie Tolliver McMillion. Mr. McMillion was a member of Pentecostal House of Prayer, Lynco, and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of UMWA Local 7604, District 17, having worked at Eastern Division Associated Coal, Kopperston No.2 Mine. He was also preceded in death by a son, Lomer Kester McMillion Jr; and three sisters, lna Foley, Edith Cook and Hazel McMillion. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Thelma Jean McMillion; three sons, David Lee McMillion and his wife, Kim, of Lynco, Barry Lee McMillion and his wife, Dee, of Wayne and Frank Avary McMillion and his wife, Dana, of Lynco; two daughters, Emily Lou Ogle and her husband, James, of Pineville and Dora Fay Abbott and her husband, Stanley, of Stuart, Va; a brother, Avary McMillion Jr. and his wife, Cora, of Alderson; three sisters, Irene Euton of MacArthur, Ohio, Maxine Clark of Matheny and Willie "Billie" Bailey of Kopperston; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his family, he will be missed by a host of friends.4 He was buried at Palm Memorial Gardens, 9051 Appalachian Highway, Matheny, Wyoming Co., West Virginia.5,6 His Social Security Number was 236-46-1957.2 He was born on June 15, 1932 at Lester, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.2,4,5,6 He married Thelma Jean Row on December 13, 1954 at Matheny, Wyoming Co., West Virginia.10 Lomer Kester McMillion died on December 14, 2002 at Lynco, Wyoming Co., West Virginia, at age 70.2,4,5,6

Those left to cherish her memory include brother, Avary McMillion Jr. and wife, Cora Lee, of Alderson; daughters, Marlene Clark of Beckley, Betty Cook of Charlottesville, Va., and husband, Ray, of Jesse, Brenda Caudell and husband, Richard, of Princeton, Linda Morgan of Beckley; a son Billy Joe Clark and his companion, Patty Allen, of Matheny; grandchildren, Rae Jill Cook of Charlottesville, Lori Anne Payne and husband, Ed, of Beckley, Belinda Hoag and husband, Raymond, of Beckley, Brandi Lee Seabolt and husband, Dale, of Beckley, Elizabeth Allie Poe and husband, Nicholas, of Princeton and Kimberly Helton of Beckley; and great-grandchildren, Skylyn Walls, Daryan Thompson, Scout Bromfield, Anna Jade Seabolt, Brody Seabolt, Aden Seabolt, Blas Payne, Steele Payne, Natalie Hoag, Brynne Poe and Shaylyn John. Friends may gather with the family 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Services wil be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Evans Memorial Chapel at Oceana with the Rev. Jim Hendricks and the Father John Flavin officiating. Burial will be in the Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny. on April 6, 1987.4
