He attended Faith Baptist Church.In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Wanda Manning, and is survived by his wife of 69 years, Geraldine Bayne Manning; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike Manning of Vinton and David and Marie Manning of Kings Mountain, North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Steven King of Roanoke; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Lillie Mae Clingenpeel of Roanoke and Mary Jane Farmer of Kingsport, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke with Pastor G.F. Westmoreland officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Bill's family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on October 30, 2016.3
