Born April 14, 1933, in Sewell, he was the son of the late Armick Malay and Carmel Cox Malay, Mr. Malay attended Church of the Nazareth, Oak Hill, and was a retired coal miner. He worked for Central Appalachian Coal Co, for 18 years and Peabody Coal Co. at Robin Hood No. 9 for six years. He was a resident of Fayette County all his life. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Hizer. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Mary Lou Grimmett Malay; a son, Dana Scott Malay and his wife, Melissa, of Oak Hill; two adopted sons, Robert Clayton Wriston and Andrew Kyle Wriston, both at home; two daughters, Tina Yvonne Blevins and her husband, Jeff, of Oak Hill and Dawn Devere Williams and her companion, Donald Ellison, of Oak Hill; an adopted daughter, Sharee Nicole Wriston, at home; a brother, Robert Eugene Malay Sr. and his wife, Pauline, of Oak Hill; two sisters, Arlene Bottomly and her husband, Jack, of Danese and Helena Barnett and her husband, Porter, of Danese; seven grandchildren; and his best friend, Joey Adkins. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Michael Whisman officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers and Joey Adkins will serve as honorary pallbearer. on December 3, 2000.4

And James, Fayetteville and four half brothers, Bill, Ed, and Kenneth Long, all of Chicago, Ill., and Sgt. John Long, North Madison, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Dodd Payne Funeral Home Chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. E. M. Murphy in charge. Burial will be in Hughes Memorial Park. The body will arrive at the funeral home this afternoon and friends may call after 6 p.m. today. on June 16, 1968.4

She worked several years at Mary Francis Coal Co. and 20 years in the medical profession, former employee of Plateau Medical Center and retired from Dr. Anwar Ullah, M.D. Pauline was loved by many patients and friends and will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert E. Malay Sr; eight children, Bobby and wife, Tammy, Jim and wife, Helen, Sam, Rick, Mike, Benita and husband, Duke, David and wife Bev, and Susie; 19 grandchildren, Keith, Kevin, Kylie, Kendall, Amy, Kelly, Karen, Ricky, Andy, Caitlin, Caleb, Jennifer, Jessica, Julia, Jeanette, Sloane, Alexis, Daniel, and Abigail; also 10 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mabel Mason, Ada Mae Boyd and Wilda Salters. Her remains rest at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 1435 E. Main St., Oak Hill, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Saturday, and where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, with the Rev. William Skeldon officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Arrangements by High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill. on October 4, 2008.1
