Poff; daughter, Nora Poff; brother, Earl Hess; sisters, Gladys Spears, Pauline Janka, Orva Frame; and grandson, Troy Holstein. Dot worked at GC Murphy then took time off to raise her family. She then went back to work at Bobby Brooks and then retired from K-Mart to care for her father. She was a foster grandmother at Winfield Elementary. She loved gardening, crocheting, quilting, reading and being with her extended family. She is survived by her children, Ronald Guy Poff Jr. and wife, Darla, of Hamlin, Janet Lee Perks and husband, John, of Red House, Hilda Edna Randolph and husband, Garry, of Goshen, Ind., Pamela Gail Napier and companion, Jack, Pauline Ella Holstein, all of St. Albans; grandchildren, Ronda Ward, Mike Thayer, her caretaker, Laura Thayer, Melissa Meade, Pete, Angela, Tracy and Clint Poff; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 11 a.m. at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences can be emailed to www.casdorphandcurry.com. Her spirit was compassionate and kindly natured and she was blessed with the gentlest heart, which had room only for friends, as she never made an enemy. She was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene, South Charleston. A graveside memorial service will be held in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, is assisting the family with arrangements.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Candlelight Cottage for their wonderful care of Mom.
