Baker-Bartlett; son, Todd Allen Bartlett; and stepson, William "Willie" Mosby Baker, all of Blacksburg. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters-in-law, Elwood and Louise Bartlett, of Yorktown, Va., Dr. Herman G. Bartlett Jr. and Susan, of Radford, and Thomas and Tammy Bartlett, of Colonial Heights, Va; mother-in-law; Verbena D. Walters, of Christiansburg, brothers-in-law and sistersin-law, Kelly and Virginia Walters, of Christiansburg, Brenda and Billy Thomas, of Christiansburg, and Jean Walters, of Salem; and a special friend who he considered to be another son, Samuel Bostwick Jr. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call anytime after 10 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008, at The Horne Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. The funeral service will be held noon on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at The Bible Baptist Church in Galax, Va., with the Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery in Galax with Military Honors presented by the Hillsville VFW Post #1115. A celebration of life for Mr. Clingenpeel will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at North Roanoke Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Darryl G. Crim officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to North Roanoke Baptist Church (The Challenge to Build Fund), 6402 Peters Creek Rd., Roanoke, Va., 24019.
