Friends are being received any time at the Moore-Borland Funeral Home, Leeper. Removal will be made to the Scotch Hill Methodist Church at 1 p. m . Wednesday for viewing until the funeral service at 2 p. m. Rev. Farrell Evans, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Scotch Hill Cemetery. on January 31, 1961.1

Born December 8, 1891, in Penn Run, Indiana County, he was the son of Seriah and Margaret Adams Sleppy. A veteran of World War 1, Mr. Sleppy was employed for many years as a miner. On November 8, 1920, he married Freda Smith, who survives, along with two sons, Albert of Leeper and Melvin of Cooksburg; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Szezecina and Mrs. Shirley Altman, both of Leeper; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Fahler of Wellington, Ohio, and Mrs. Blanche Smathers of Leeper, and one brother, James of Erie. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren. A brother, Blair; a sister, Mrs. Albert Chapman, and two grandchildren preceded Mr. Sleppy in death. Friends may call anytime after 2 pm today at the Moore-Borland Funeral Home, Leeper, where services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday with Rev. Farrell Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Scotch Hill Cemetery. on February 12, 1962.1
