The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel, 362-1237. on April 24, 2005.6

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Wisdom Tolbert, three sisters, and one brother. She was a proud and nurturing mother of 6 sons, C.W. Wood and his late wife Dorie, Dave Tolbert and wife Linda, Jerry Tolbert and wife Sara, Bill Tolbert and wife Darlene, Ronnie Tolbert and wife Cindy and Junior Tolbert and wife Tina, and 3 beautiful Daughters, Patricia "Pat" Cross and husband Phillip, Darlene Price and husband Frank, and Bonnie Moore and husband Jackie. She was "Granny" to 17 Grand Children; Christine Wood, Jennifer Stratton, Chad Cross, David Tolbert, Scott Tolbert, Joey Tolbert, Jerry Lynn Tolbert, Tracy Tolbert, Billy Tolbert, Angie Peters, Lori Blevins, Tabitha Moore, Travis Tolbert, Stephanie Tolbert, Rebecca Tolbert, Daniel Tolbert and Shannon Roark. She also had 21 Great Grand Children and 1 Great Great Grand Child. She is also survived by two sisters, Christine Booher and Gladys Arnold and by one brother, Jack Wood. He was a member of the Zollicoffer Masonic Lodge and the Jericho Shrine Temple. Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Beulah Gross Wood. Survivors include: Daughter – Donna Guinn and husband Timmy; Grandchildren – Nathan Guinn and wife Laura, Hannah Guinn; Sisters – Gladys Arnold and husband Sid, Christine Booher; Brother – C.W. Wood; Several nieces and nephews and his church family. Interment will follow at Rooty Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Gary Webster, Tim Gross, Jimmy Gross, Trevor Gross, Justin Gross, and Buster Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be the loving members of his church and his many friends.      Susie Marie Robinson was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1019 East Valley Drive, Bristol, Virginia.2 Her Social Security Number was 230-18-3114.4 Her married name was Holbrook.2 She married John C. Holbrook.2 Susie Marie Robinson was born on March 5, 1924 at Bristol, Virginia.4,2,3 She died on February 1, 2008 at Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee, at age 83.4,2 She Susie Marie Robinson Holbrook went to be with her Lord on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born March 5, 1924, to the late Daniel and Anna Lee Robinson in Bristol Virginia. She was a graduate of Wallace High School and attended Virginia Highlands Community College. Susie was an active member of Woodlawn Baptist Church for 51 years. She served in the children's ministries and in later years participated in Meals on Wheels and ministry to the homebound. She was also involved in area civic organizations. She was employed at Monroe Calculating Co., H&R Block and Tri-Cities Security Co. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Holbrook, her daughter, Joyce Holbrook Myers, and her sister, Gladys Robinson Anderson. Survivors include her daughter, Judy C. Holbrook of the home; granddaughter, Misty Myers Ramey and husband Cliff of Bristol Tennessee; grandson, Barry Ray Myers II and wife Stacy of Bristol Tennessee; and great-granddaughter, Madalen Brook Ramey of Bristol Tennessee. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, in Akard Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Stephen Playl and the Rev. Gary Montgomery officiating. The committal and interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Ray Myers II, Cliff Ramey, Robert Holbrook, Roger Holbrook, Larry Harley, Barry Myers, Brian Myers and Barry Hogue. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Phillips, Dick Bates, Don Johnston, R.E. Goodpasture and employees of Tri-Cities Security Co. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Jonathan Dixon and the staff of Bristol Regional Medical Center for their professional and tender care of Susie. on February 2, 2008.2
