Dr. Glesinger temporarily is a masseur. “Our people are still in Germany and Czecho-slovakia.” said Mrs. Glesinger. “We do not hear from them since the war. But let’s not speak of that. You in America just cannot appreciate what it is like in Europe. “Next Christmas maybe we will have gifts for all our friends.” on December 24, 1939.5 She Mrs. Gertrude Glesinger gave a recital of vocal music over WCHS and dedicated it to Dr. Philip Schaffer, a relative, who aided her in escaping from Austria after the Nazi invasion. on October 1, 1940.6 She died in January, 1982 at New York at age 76.2
