Cynthia Diane "Cindy" Leffell Cynthia "Cindy" Diane Ward, left this world to go on to her next adventure, on January 12, 2022. She was 65 years young. Cindy was a caring and loving wife, mother, sister and daughter. Cindy was born in Roanoke, VA on December 20, 1956, to Donald and Barbara Leffell. She was a 1975 graduate from William Byrd High. Cindy was a stay at home mother for quite some time, will raising her children. She later entered the work force and became a nursing assistant at Carilion Occupational Medicine. Cindy may have been strong-willed, a little stubborn, and quite sassy but her bark was bigger than her bite. She had a soft heart. She loved animals, of all kinds, enjoyed reading and one of her favorite places to spend time was at the family lake home. Cindy was extremely compassionate, accepting and always supportive. Two of her favorite sayings were “It’s just a walk in the park” and “This too shall pass”. Though Cindy’s health had been declining for years, she never stopped fighting. No matter what life threw at her she always stayed strong and was determined. When anyone else would have broken, there was no quit in Cindy. Through her, we know what courage and strength truly look like. And just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight. Cindy was preceded in death by her Daddy, Donald Leffell. She is survived by many of her loved ones, including her husband of 46 years, Charlie Ward and her two children Hope Perrin and Greg Ward; her grandchildren, Critter (Mason Perrin) and Cody Perrin; her Mom, Barbara Leffell; sisters Janice Leffell (Donnie) and Freda McKee (Bernie) and nephew, Brian McKee. We would also like to mention a special cousin, Teresa Carlton, and her sweet neighbors, Renee Bryant and Timmy Baker, who checked in on her daily. A graveside service is scheduled at Mayflower Hills Baptist Church.2 She was buried at Mayflower Hills Baptist Church Cemetery, Roanoke, Virginia.2 She was born on December 20, 1956 at Roanoke, Virginia.2,4,3 As of December 12, 1975,her married name was Ward.3 She married Larry Charles "Charlie" Ward on December 12, 1975 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2,3 Cynthia Diane "Cindy" Leffell died on January 12, 2022 at Virginia at age 65.2
