Norwood, 31, Route 5, was fatally injured about 10 p.m. Sunday in a traffic crash east of Carthage on Chestnut Rd. He was pronounced dead at 10:55 p.m. at McCune Brooks Hospital. Born March 8, 1961, at Carthage, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Norwood, Route 5, he was a 1979 graduate of Carthage Senior High School. Employed as shop foreman at Grant's Auto Service, Carthage, he attended Bethany Baptist Church east of Carthage. Surviving in addition to his parents are a son Clayton Timothy Norwood, Sarcoxie; a daughter Ashley Jo Norwood, Carthage Route 5; a twin brother Terry W. Norwood, 1324 Olive St., and another brother James A. Norwood, 1116 Ash St. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Knell Mortuary. Minister Bob Lyttle will officiate. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. The family received friends at the home on Route 5. Friends may call at 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. in February, 1993.1
